tattoos

that's what my tatoo artist told me and I dont want a grey blob on my foot after awhile, and I think that that's the only thing that is stopping me... I dont know I think that I will just stick to piercings right now!!! They are so much quicker!

Check out the miniatures section here: http://www.anilgupta.com/frames.cfm

If the artist is skilled you should have no problems getting a lady bug on your toe. Obviously the level of detail will have to be adjusted due to placement. The problem you will probably run into with the toe is abrasion and that will effect healing, which in turn will effect the outcome of the tattoo...the grey blob.

PS-Anil Gupta is a god, I wish that I was in NYC so I could get tattooed by him.

color would be nice, but im really partial to the look of black ink...i dont think id get any colored ones.

I'm the same way...depending on the tattoo of course. I find that I am most attracted to black and grey work.

I wouldn't get the dragon colored if you like it the way it is. It isn't like it is an uncolored page out of a coloring book. There is lots of shading.

My boyfriend has both... I think it only matters if you ONLY have the right one.

Matters in respect to what? Sexual preference? That's a little out dated isn't it?

When I first got my ear pierced when I was 16 I did it myself. The only reason that I choose the left was becuase it was easier to do. I didn't give it a thought really. Now I have both ears done and stretched to 4g.

My brother stabbed me with a pencil when we were younger...about 27 years ago....now that's scary!

Does that count as a tatoo??? It's still in there.

I've got a pencil lead tattoo in my finger from 1st grade. Was walking through a door with one of those big red pencils, the door opened an jammed the pencil into my finger...I've been a freak ever since ;)

I think you should stop... I wouldn't get any of my tattoos removed since I made those decisions and will stick with them. However, if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't have gotten any. My angel is pretty large - about 6 inches tall - though it doesn't look that big in the picture. I'm only 22, but I already feel like I've outgrown my tattoos, not because of what they are (I love them) but just cause it isn't that feminine. You can't see any of them when I wear an evening gown or a summer dress , but still...

Just my advice from one girl to another. As for the piercings... at least they close when you don't want them anymore, but OUCH!

Having been tattooed and pierced I can say that tattoos hurt more. Piercing is fast and it is over. I have a tattoo that runs into my armpit and I can tell you that no piercing I've had, including an industrial in the upper ear can even compare. And healing a tattoo is more of a pain in the ass, the itching :)

When I was in Louisiana visiting, there was some friend of a friend of a friend that had MURDER tattooed on his forehead. How's that for crazy.

I remember reading a book...it could have been Snow Crash. Where inmates had tattoos of their crimes on their forheads. Maybe someone really liked the idea.

For me I won't get anything that I can't hide with long sleeves and pants.

I'm planning out a entire sleeve for my left arm based on HR Giger art work :)

I agree. I really don't like tatoos in general...I've seen a few cool ones, but most of them are just kind of random (like pictures of clowns and crap), but I ESPECIALLY don't like them on a female...no offense. It's just kind of a turn off.

Check out the website I posted. Tattoos are not for everyone, and I totally respect anyone's opinion on them. But you would have to admit that the art work can be truely exceptional.

Not really...if you just have an earring in your right, a lot of people will think your gay...even today...

It is an outdated idea, and people shouldn't perpetuate the myth...left=straight, right=***.

What does it mean when a guy has both ears pierced?

I'm not saying that people may not still beleive this stupidity, I'm just saying that that kind of thinking is silly these days. Considering how much more mainstream body piercing and tattooing has come.

Do you think that everyone with tattoos is criminal?

Around here it doesn't mean gay/straight... it actually means dominant vs. submissive. And people do still check.

What a ****** coincidence...I was planning sleeving my left arm with Giger work too...he has some of the most grotesque yet beautiful art. As for my dragon, I'm not coloring that one in...I love the detail the guy put into it...color may be in the future though...maybe, maybe not.

Ok. So which is it? Left=Submissive? Right=Dominant?

Maybe I don't get out enough. :)

That is strange ;)

Check out Andrea Elston of Eastside Ink in NYC or Anil Gupta in NYC. These two are THE people to get Giger inspired ink from. If only I was rich, and was closer to NYC :)

I've had the idea, not the complete design in mind for several years too. This summer it is going to happen, provided I can find someone who can do Giger (and me) justice.

No...some of us were sailors! lol :{D

LOL...And some of us are jar heads...

I have one tattoo so far. It is an eagle, globe and anchor (for the Corp) with crossed cannons behind it (for artillery)...

It is over my heart, because I bleed green, yo...

No, seriously though, I got it because it was the first thing I really commited to in my life. And, it will always be a part of my life.

And damn it, now I have to get a picture of that too...This off topic stuff is becoming a busy body experience...Pictures of this, pictures of that...SHEESH!
