Yup, the amount of money to do an AT to manual is too costly, especially when you have a car readily available new. I know guys with P5s that wanna do an AT to manual conversion, and it is a lot of stuff.
If money is not an option, go to www.mazdarecycling.com and see about getting the full trnasmission setup, computer, pedals, clutch lines, manual cluster, etc. Add that, up and that is the amount you can put down on a new one with manual.

I think you guys don't realize how expensive it would be to do this swap. Just trade your car in and pay the slight difference (if even any), and be done with it.
I know its gonna be expensive and its also not high on my list of things to do to my three. I mean i know 15's isnt all that great but in my auto 3 i ran like 16.04 or something like that wish i had the slip but it flew out the window anywayz im about to crack 15's in my auto 3 and would probably be somwhere close to 14 or so if it was manual. Im just looking for someone who might know a rough estimate of how much the swap would cost. Or maybe if anybody on the forums knows of a totaled manual 3 that the owner would want or need to sell all the parts i would need to do the swap.
try the website I gave you earlier. they specialize in Mazdas. Or car-part.com might be able to locate an entire car. I hope you are very good at working on cars though. Otherwise, to get it done will cost a fortune.
Oh, it is drving me crazy. you need to fix the title to Transmission, not Tanny, and if you use Tranny conversion, that can be taken completely the wrong way. So edit post #1, to have Transmission instead...
They dont have anything for the 3 on that site. But i do know that you can get a manual tranny off of ebay for 900 but then you gotta find the rest of the stuff.
