Get off 75N/40E onto Pellissippi Parkway 160, towards Maryville, get off at the signs for the airport, or Alcoa Highway, and it will put you on Alcoa Highway right before the airport and the Hilton.

3rd Annaul EECMM 2009
Hey yall, Epic East Coast Mazda Meet is starting up again for 2009! This will be the 3rd year running of this epic meet. For those who aren't familiar with this meet let me explain. This is a massive multi day meet for the people by the people. By this I mean the location and date are all decided on by the people who attend it. Last year we had over 100 cars register!! We had some amazing sponsors like F2USA, TheXenonStore, Cp-E, TWM Performance, **********, Cobb, Mazda3Mods, and a few others who helped with discounted food, lodging, and t shirts. We gave away the new Cobb AP and Cp-e FullControl Flash. Wonder what we'll have this year?? Check out the following link, register and vote. Hope to see yall there.

We will definitely still meet there at the airport but the ride through the Dragon may be tentative depending on weather. Its hard to predict here. Anyway not in the mountains we are talking about backroad curves closer to home. I will try to eep in touch or join site below and you will have the info almost as fast as I do.

Sunset350ZR, I was thinking the same thing. The forcast for saturday from the 'Tail of the Dragon's' homepage says showers. As much as I would like to meet your group and get a guided tour of the Dragon with you, I don't like the idea of driving three hours only to find out the roads are a mess. It would take most of the fun outta the ride for me. I will be checking back here and the website for further weather info before I decide to make the trip or not..........(rant)
Damn, I was looking forward to this, we'll see...............

Raincheck.................Dammit, was looking forward to this ride. I'll keep checking for the next time this ride takes place. Sunset350ZR if you all do still go, have a great time and I'll catch you on the flip side.

KLIP(argh)

If weather shuts us down tomorrow and it looks like it will, we are going to try the following weekend which will be sunny and in the mid 50s so says the extended weather report. At this time of year we just have to kinda watch. I think they are even talking snow for late Saturday/Sunday. Anyway, Klip keep up with us or even joi. That way a newsletter goes out everytime we get ready to go on a ride. Otherwise I will post here.

Saturday
Weather is supposedly good for this Saturday. I will let all know time of departure tomorrow but meeting most likely at Airport Hilton again.

I might try to make it. Normally I'd be chomping at the bit to go, but I finally had to swap my nice wheels w/ worn out Eagle F1's for my original wheels w/ less worn Kuhmos. I can't believe the difference in the handling. It feels like it's maybe 75-80% of what it was. The Skyway and the Dragon won't be as much fun, but Sunday is my birthday and it would make a nice present to me, lol.

If I decided to take the Skyway over rather than go up through K-ville, I wonder where I could meet up with you guys?

As many times as I have been up there, I still haven't taken the skyway but my first time years ago. PM me a cell and I will do the same and we can work out something.

I loooove the Skyway. A little faster than the Dragon and it seems to go on forever. Just don't get too caught up looking at the killer views, lol. When I was up on Oct. 12 the leaves were changing and it was jaw-dropping up there. I'd get distracted and forget to set up for the next turn.

I neglected to mention the other reason I'd be hesitant to go. A chick backed into my car last week and destroyed the driver's rear door. The car doesn't go into the shop until Monday, and I hate driving it with it all jacked up like that. I can just see Killboy finally getting that perfect picture of the car but from the driver's side, lol. I guess it doesn't matter, but it still irritates me. I'm sending you a PM right now.
