Synthetic Oil

Who here is running synthetic oil? Any noticed added benefits? The manual doesn't state that synthetics should be used, but would it be beneficial to use? What if you've been running regular oil for awhile? Will you start to see leaks? How about Royal Purple Synthetics? Any advice would be helpful. I'm considering shifting to synthetics and have nearly 10k miles now.

I'm Using Royal Purple and so far I love it. I didn't really notice a huge change to be honest.

My only concern is the thinner nature of a synthetic may lead to it bypassing the turbo seals and next thing you know you're getting smoke out the tailpipe - ain't saying it'll happen, just food for thought.

Mobil1 super syn here. changed at 500,1500 & 3000. Now she'll be changed every 5-6k or so. Bob the Oil guy's site has great info on why synthetic is a better choice.
And my 93 Ranger 3.0 V6 with 230k miles, still running great, never had any engine problems (knock on wood). The only parts she has ever needed replacing were a clutch and an AC compressor. Synthetic oil used in here since day one.

How can you love it, when you cant see a difference...? just asking, not trying to be an ass... lol just thought that was funny what you sed.. :)

LOL MY BAD good point! Bwahaha Own'd.

Well on their site that have a dyno vid that shows a 10HP gain from running their oil.

Moble 1 and Amsoil here, you can't really feel the difference, but if you take the engine apart at 100k you can measure the difference. I have never had a seal leak on a car that has seen nothing but synthetics, and I drive the piss out of all mine.

haha 10hp gain, you can say that too if you switch tire pressure out. i hate it when companies try to sell you that...but then again who knows if it really did right? rp is still badass oil though.
