Does the Ebay fob look really big compared to the one Toumba showed as an example? Has anyone bought the Ebay one to be able to compare to the current Mazda issued fob's?

How well do they hold up under use? i wouldn't want something to fall apart in a month or two.

I came across this but I want functional buttons. That's why I want to know if anyone has tried putting the internals of a protege remote in a different key fob.

yeah i have it and it works great... the guy at home depot did a half-ass cut job on it, so the one side works better than the other, but it was free so i can't complain.

i actually just bought another new blank one for my second MSP. it's pretty easy to switch the internals from your existing key fob, just have to deal without alarm

I bought both the eBay switchblade key and an eBay keyless fob, and the only modification needed was I had to remove the rubber part of the panic button, it fit in with no trouble. Works perfect, and after 6 months I still have no complaint. I would be willing to post a picture if you'd like for a size reference.

Does the msp key have a chip in the key that needs to be swaped over?
