SURE RMM vs TRZ

I'm glad all these places are popping up with more options, but it sure makes for a tough decision! The Sure piece looks like a straight up beefcake that I'd trust my life with, and cool enough to wanna look at it...too bad it wont be visible. The Trz is cheaper. I know there are other brands as well, but these look to be the hot item now.
And shifter bushings as well...some feedback?

Im running all the SURE stuff. Nicest quality stuff ive had on the car. I replaced my SU rmm with the SURE & my TWM bushings with SURE as well. These will be staying on the car too, no more switiching brands for me

See my anti-fanboy single brand post here:

Even though I have the SURE rear motor mount and like it alot, come on, guys, lets cut out the fanboy stuff.

And BTW: I don't see any hardened steel inserts where the cross bolt passes through the mount in the JBR aluminum billet mount. Maybe they are there and I can't see them. With out those pressed in inserts, which SURE has done right, I'd be concerned that the aluminum will eventually elongate the bolt holes and start movement. That has happend with other companies' mounts.

call me a fanboy if you please; however, when I find a company that puts out a great product, at a great price and stands behind it like no one else, I'll support and endorse them. to each their own.

Just because you have a mish-mosh of parts on your car. Doesnt make everyone else a fanboy. Like I said in the other post.....

(alright)awesome

Lets not get our panties in a wad gentlemen...more technical discussions, less name-calling :-) I'm about to purchase and trying to decide of the much higher price is worth it with the SURE

Much higher price in comparison to the TRZ?? Id say yes, but thats because I had issues getting parts from PG in the past. And when they showed up, some were wrong and damaged at that. I know that sounds fan-boyish, but true story. I have pics of said damaged parts and went through hell to get the problem amended. I dont know of any technical issues with the TRZ. But I currently am running the SURE piece and its design/bushing/duro & size make for a comfortable ride with minimal vibes. Its nicer than the SU RMM that I had prior to it also. Good luck :)

for 1 i never called you idiots! for 2 in the stock exchange SURE is listed as a company owned by SU. thats where i got my info.

So you casually browse the stock exchange for info on aftermarket parts companies for your mazda. Thats some baller ass s*** right there.

And I know you didnt call us idiots. IT WAS THE EXTREME CAPS LOCK AND USE OF THE TERM "WOW" . Like we should have known, thats all. No biggie, I guess I need to look into this for some insight. Thanks for the info :D

i buy and trade stock in the companys i like. and i do as much to find out on who started the company. you can buy stock in any company out their.

Ok, so is the "said company" one of the couple I initially mentioned? I was comparing the price difference between sure and jbarone. I know j barone is newer but claims his parts are the same quality, if not higher than the o

I would hardly call my combination of careful research and over 40 years, yes 40 years of experience (I'm 61 years old and have been racing and modding performance cars since I was 18, and this is my fourth forced induction car in recent years), a mish-mosh. There are a lot of good combinations of mods out there and some absolutely terrible ones. No one company comes close to having all the answers. I'm pretty satisfied with my "mish-mosh" that safely and repeately produces 13.4 quarters at 106-107 mph in a reliable daily driver. I have a posted YouTube video under this user name with a 12.5 second 40-120 mph roll.

Those are not insanely wickedly quick numbers and a lot of guys are quicker. But they are repeatable and safe performance increases (over two seconds quicker than stock 0-100 mph) in a very smoothly operating daily driver. Mish-mosh?

OP: go with the SURE mount because it is good, not because it is being pushed by a fanboy or an SU/SURE employee.

I'm in it for the performance. Brand name be damned.

I agree. Go with what your research tells you. I currently have a TRZ and I like it. Although, I could do without the vibes. But I am a 33 year old with a child. Vibes aren't that bad...but could be better (could be worse too). I haven't tried the others but with MSMS3's experience, I would probably go with what he recommends.

Yes... SURE is an offshoot of Street Unit, and it does stand for Street Unit Racing Equipment.

Having said that, I'd personally go with either the TRZ RMM or Jamie's RMM. I know Jamie personally, and I have no problems standing by his products. He makes quality parts, and it shows based on his following.

I personally have the TRZ on my car because Jamie didn't have a mount available when I was looking for my mounts. Rumor has it that Jamie is making a transmission mount as well.

For the price, I'd definitely go with either TRZ or JBR. You're not going to get anything with SURE that you aren't going to get with either of those.

By the way, I'm not just talking out of my ass. I've broken a Street Unit motor mount before.

Edit: Completely unrelated, but why the hell is Street Unit *'d out?

I find that an irritation with this site, but there are easy ways around it if you want to post a name of a site. You just can't put a direct link you in your message for some of them. Street Unit SURE brand - I immediately knew what stood for when I saw the parts on the site. Not sure how anyone could have missed that unless you didn't see the parts on the site and never heard of it. Only makes sense once you see the acronym and use your imagination.

The RMM from SURE looks like a nice piece to me. I like the inserts in the bolt holes. That's a smart idea. Should be a bullet proof piece.
