get bigger pipes.. so turbo will descompress air much faster!
and if you are going with 8psi its ok.. if you go more.. u r gonna have to change pistons and bla bla bla

good luck!

im pretty sure the Speed 6 motor can handle more then 8psi on the 71R ATP Turbo.. i think 20 psi is the most ive seen on the forum for the Speed 6's with an EMS. im setting mine at 17psi with an EMS and i already have all the rest of the mods... The fuel pump would be nice to have if its out by spring time. this thread is about the Speed 6's.. sorry i didnt make that clear... but in any case if any of the smart people whove done it on this forum can chime in what u need for this upgrade more then what i already said feel free to do so.

then ur done i think.. have the boost control?

if you have the complete turbo kit

fuel pump

mounts

exhaust

ur done!... just take ur beauty to the shop

plus 1000 bucks to install and tune it up :D

the EMS can control the boost. ill be putting all of this stuff in myself.. im a weekend wrench.. and after work sometimes.. then it will be going to a local shop to get tuned and ill be on my way to the track. sucks i have to wait till March of 2008 to do all of this..but well worth the wait who knows what stuff may come out for the car by then.

is gonna worth the time :D

prolly like 100hp more!!

LMAO...

um you hardly need all that stuff, but its good to have all of it! just to clear that up, oh and BTW you will want to remove the fuel cut defender before you add the EMS!!

rlly? a good piece of advice i guess.. may i ask why? im guessing the ems can control fuel cut so u dont need it.. but im gonna have it on the stock ecu till march so i figured id get one till that point and then just swap it back to the stock one.

you sure can ask why, and i can tell you lol..
its pretty simple really.

'im guessing the ems can control fuel cut so u dont need it'
correct! and also not only do you not need it, but it would be bad to have them both on. the fuel cut defender just tricks the stock ECU which is fine alone, but tricking the stock ecu while its being tricked by the standback..well thats just bad. you could run into real problems.

jordan made a post about this somewhere, its been a while.

ok i found that thread after i asked why. the one that jordan posted up.but thanks for the explaination
