Superfly Sunday 2011

^^^+1

And yes, the Saturday evening in Brunswick is still a pretty big deal I think. But of course, that is older muscle cars. I think that if a group of us were to arrive and give the utmost respect (which we would, of course), then it would be a really nice event. Barring weather, I think I will try and go next saturday just to scope it out. plus it is a lot closer than the A-K

I don't think the whole new school vs. old school battle exists many places anymore. Almost all the shows I got to have a mix of everything now...

Naturally, I wouldn't park right in the middle of the lot in between all the older stuff though. lol I'd at least stay towards the outside somewhere.

I'll take the BMW to Brunswick... once it's fixed.

I think that the A&W meet in Ravenna is now at one of the abandoned dealer parking lots in the east end of the town. I didn't go on Saturday evening, but that's when it is, or was.

I hope the one guy has his Cuda there when you come. It's got a 500+ ci Hemi and the deepest Cragers they make. Basically it's the most ridiculous thing I've seen in person, lol.

Good god almighty...this event is getting ridiculous.....

Not only do you have to give a bunch of complete strangers your drivers license number and address (via them writing down your driver's license info), as well as your plate number, but now it's looking like they're expecting you to follow them on twitter to get "up to the minute" details on where the event will take place.

For those that may have missed their fb post, on nights that they're having AutoX, it will be located at Todaro's Party Center in the Valley. On nights that they're NOT having AutoX, they'll have it at the Sears location like these past few weeks. I don't have twitter....nor do I plan on getting on twitter, and I know there are plenty of others like me, so where does that leave us?

What's pissing me off the most is, people are specifically asking WHEN IS THE FIRST AUTOX EVENT!!!!??? And they can't even answer that...******* dickheads. They just keep saying..."It's in the post" I've read the post several times, and nowhere does it say when the first event will be. How ******* hard is it to say..."yes, the first event is this Sunday, the 12th" ? I mean, it's not THAT big of a deal to join twitter and whatnot, but the way they're going about this is irking me. They also won't allow anyone to say anything negative on their fb. They just mark the posts as irrelevant...real juvenile.

Douchebag VW owners...

Yeah, I noticed that, too. It's like the event got too big for them. I think the autocross should have stayed as a mini dodge-em course and not a serious event. If I wanted to autocross, I'd go to a legitimate event, where I wouldn't have to worry about a bunch of retards possibly running me over.

I just want to see some cool cars!

And I hate twitter.

Well I wouldn't go as far as calling the D-bags, but yeah, I'm not going to follow Twitter just so I can see where the Sunday location is. But I do agree with Wes completely about the auto-x and hating Twitter. I'd rather there NOT be an Auto-x so I can just show up, walk around and check out some nice cars without having to worry about someones POS that hasn't been inspected crashing into me or a bunch of cats sitting right next to their course. But I do appreciate all the work they do to keep it organized however if/when my car is done, there's no way I'm going to park in there so I can give complete strangers my personal info.

That comment was directed to them not answering a simple question when it was asked, several times. And also them not allowing negative comments to be posted on their page.

there's no way I'm going to park in there so I can give complete strangers my personal info.

I wish I didn't give them mine and went this route instead.

Wow... I didn't expect to come home and find this. Hmmm... Unfortunate to hear that it's going all goofy.

Assuming we get Wes's car done in time we could swing out too.

Those clowns need to get their s*** together though. Two locations, no set time and you have to keep an eye on their Facebook or Twitter to see when/where? This isn't Fast & Furious... I have a feeling this "Superfly" is going to dwindle to just the EuroVagen cats and Euro car clubs because it's more like a clique at Superfly now.

Reasons the old Superfly worked so well;
-great central location
-same time, same place every week
-no drama

Sorry, I'm just salty today...

Yea I understand what you mean. I think Todaros party center is the new location. It has not been at Chapel Hill since it was moved to the valley (at least I think so, I have been to both Chapel Hill and Todaros twice this year). I like the new location more than Rolling Acres and Chapel Hill. Any update on Wes' car?

Damn good point. I was going to swing out on my way home from Mid-Ohio, but I saw no one there... so I stopped and got dinner instead. s***'s stupid.

Sounds like the whole thing is a joke and a waste of time......they were doing things half assed anyway with the auto-x and the rest of their little production.

We did see Anthony and his new P5 as well as a very clean NA(?) Miata and Speed3 but didn't get a chance to talk to the owners.

I don't know why they moved the location there for auto-x. Honestly, it was a freaking joke. It was a Nascar track but with right turns. Still funny to watch people lock up their brakes and slide into the grass with the front wheels turned.

I think I'm going to try a new sunday evening thing. Maybe get some local car clubs involved and just find a new place to hang out.

**** it dude, Sunday evening cookouts at the house would be fine with me.
