someone noted that the jl8w3v2 wouldn't be effeciently powered by the amp.. is that true? i think the JL specs say that it needs 125w optimally.

If you get the dual 2 Ohm version and wire it for 4 Ohm it should be fine. If you get the dual 4 Ohm you would have to wire it for 8 Ohm's and it might not be enough power.
