I am lookin' for a short antenna. There is a website called stubbyantenna.com. I cant seem to find a rdx or cx-7 antenna for a good deal. If anyone has one of these or knows anything about them any comments would be appreciated. If you have any pictures of yours on your car i would love to see them.

Sorry for the low quality pics, it was raining and overcast this morning. As far as reception, I am guessing it depends on your terrain and location. I live in an area with mountains and my reception is ok. (2cents) (scratch) YMMV
Hope this helps.

I got a shorty antenna for my P5 from stubbyantenna.com. They are legit - although I must say their website doesn't really look like it. It was about $15. Can't help you with CX-7.

I installed a alpine headunit at the same time, I don't really ever listen to the radio besides AM traffic station, so I can't say anything about FM reception, I doubt it would stay as good as stock antenna. I did it purely for looks.

But yeah they are legit.

The streetune looks really good and i would totally go for it if they had a yellow one, but i think that i am going to go with one from stubbyantenna.com. Hey BlueBomber, which one did you get, it would be really cool if you could post a picture if youve got one. If you dont have one, dont worry about it.
-Thanks-

I had one off a CRV, very similar to the S2K antenna. I later got a much shorter one, about 2" from autozone that I was very happy with for about $10. Never had a problem with reception.

I have one from an Acura RDX. Fit is damn near perfect, and I didn't really notice any drop in radio signal.

I got the CX-7 antenna for ~$30 from the dealer. Slight drop in reception, but nothing to fret over.

Damn, only found one pic with the super stub in it. Wanted it low enough so surfboard could go on the racks. With the pads and cinched down the antenna has about 1/4" clearance. Amazingly it seems that the reception has not suffered negatively.

I also still have a bit taller one made by member xelderx here way back in the day. Found thread from 2003 but no pics in it.

lol this thread funny, it's like antennae porn.

Every picture is a small 6" antennae resembling a dong.

I want one now though realizing how ugly my antennae is compared to the short ones..

s2k antenna

I've got a stubby antenna off of a Honda S2000 that I didn't get to use on my Mazda5. I'm looking to sell it if anyone's interested. PM me.

No thanks, but thanks for the offer. I heard that the S2K one doesn't Fit at the base very well.

Jackie I will get you some picks of my stubby, I'm just away right now (it's Canadian Thanksgiving)... one thing i noticed was that the 3 decorative rubber rings on my stubby were all cracked from UV exposure.... it's not even 2 months old. I just picked them off with my fingernails. You can't even tell the difference unless you knew beforehand...
