strut bars weight?

I was thinking about that....I've been dying for a nice blue one...but nothings come up...so I was thinking about using some high heat resit. spray(like the brake caliper spray, or engine spray)...is this a good idea???

Also, I've heard many say that on the 3 the front strut bar is basically "eye candy", since our suspension is advanced...is this true???

B/c on almost any other car I've heard that it makes a pretty decent difference in preventing roll....Anyone care to shed some light??

I don't know if it will help the 3 much or not but I do know that the main function of the strut tower bar is to reduce the torsion or twist in the body/frame under cornering thus making it stiffer and not dive into the corner. My best guess is that it will help with body roll whether the 3 has advanced suspension or not. It's just a question as to how much it will actually help. I know that this will definately be one of the suspension mods I do when I get around to it.
