Damn, Justin. I'm sorry to hear about this. Will there be anything different with the new build (I.E. 40-over, etc)?

I'd love to attend one of the 24-hour events, it just sounds like fun.

Motor is out of the car. 5 hour job from start to finish with a lot of standing around trying to find the right tool. I haven't torn it down yet, but I will say that there wasn't a whole lot of oil in the pan when I drained it. I have no idea where all my oil keeps disappearing to. I'll take picures of the tear down tomorrow. From the sound of it I'll need to port out one of my spare heads since the one in the car right now is more than likely toast.

So I tore the motor down today. It was not looking pretty. The cam journals had some scarring on them so I'll need to port out another head. Check out the second picture there. I'd say that crank is done for now. I'll probably have it turned down for one more build. See all the little pieces of bearing stuck to the left side of the block.

I give you the golden block!!!!! I got the crank and pistons in tonight. I have to finish a little porting on the head tomorrow. I should have the long block finished and ready to go back in the car tomorrow night. I would probably have the car running tomorrow, but i have to make a 5 hour round trip to go pick up my new car.

I brought this little baby home today. '74 260Z. Need an engine rebuild but should be good to go otherwise. Now I just have to figure out what color I want it.
