I left work today drove home and parked my car for awhile and went back out to go get a movie when i started it the car made a loud rattling noise, very strange, shut it off started it again and it went away. Went and got my movie and when i got back in the car again tried it the car made the noise again, so i shut it off and started it..no noise. I dunno whats going on but when it sits for over 15 min and i start it, it makes this noise from under the car, any ideas? its 2007 speed 6 absolutely bone stock with around 20000km on it.

Thanks

Car is still making the noise, brought it over today, said they don't think its too much, also getting them to look at where the car is bucking when trying to pick up speed, especially in third gear. There was a thread about it here explaining what it was causing the bucking but i can't seem to find it, anyone explain why the cars does this again? at least i can have some input when i go back over and tells me there is nothing wrong with the car.

Thanks

Got News back from the dealer, apparently the noise in my car is the tensioner on the timing chain is gone, gonna take like a week to get the parts and get it fixed

ya that happened to mine but they had to rep[lace the entire VVT setup so it might not be a bad idea to bring this up to them for yours...

There is already a TSB for this problem/repair. I don't have the number with me right now, but you shouldn't have any problems with warranty fix.

yeah i just stopped in they are replacing the whole setup on mine, waiting on some hardened bolt to come from the U.S. and that wont' show up until Monday, warentee covers it no problem. Also there is 2 recalls on the car both for re-flashes? apparently they are gonna do them too.

Finally got my car back today, and the car runs 100 times better, no more rattle when the car is started. Appearently the bucking in the car was caused by leak in the inlet side of the turbo (which was there since i bought the car), recalls were done, also they found a leak in the transmission seal for one of the axles, that was repaired. In all that it makes the car feel like a whole new car!
