So i have a Cp-e catless downpipe and a CP-e catback with the 21 inch muffler

i was wondering if anyone has taken out that muffler to just have a straight pipe exhaust with no restrictions.. either a combo like mine or any other type of combo like that

let me know!
thanks

I hope I am not being unresponsive to your question, but I would wonder why you would want to do this. It will not produce more power and I think you will find that with the catless dp your volume level is much higher than it was before. Catless dp's can run the risk of causing your turbo wastegate to max out if there is no resistance on the exhaust side. If the flow through the wastegate is more than can be expelled through the small port, the turbo will overboost, which can be dangerous. That's one of the reasons I kept the stock CBE in place so there would be at least some minimal resistance to exhaust flow, even though the stock CBE does flow extremely well. The wastegate port and flapper are sized to match the flow rates of the stock catted exhaust system, so there is a genuine risk of overboosting if the exhaust gets too free flowing. There are members here who have reported overboosting when going with a big catless dp.

Is the Cp-e DP and CBE piping 2.5 inches or 3 inches? If it is a 3 inch system all the way back, that is even more reason to be concerned about the risk of overboost. I see you are running Cobb AP. There is a limited ability to tune to protect against overboost, but there is nothing a tune can do to stop a maxed out wastegate from not being able to pull boost back down to safe levels once it happens, IMHO. The fix is to enlarge the port on the wastegate. Please be careful.

Pardon the intrusion. I just thought I'd point out that there might be a valuable safety benefit in having some resistance in the exhaust system behind the catless DP, given the small port size on wastegate of the K04 turbo. Something to think about.

if you are on the stock k04 and you tune properly you wont overboost by more than 2psi at worst. The biggest problem is getting it to hold that boost to redline hahaha. OP I heard a local guy who has a dp/rp combo and straight pipe CBE and it sounds good, just really loud and drony though, if it was my DD I would freak out. Keep your muffler man unless you like that s*** loud (RICE)
