just was wondering what was the count of people who own MSP that have had their stock head units replaced by the dealership one or more times and before they fixed it they gave you a hard time?

Well I've had mine replaced but wasn't given a hard time about it.

I've also had my sub replaced once and it needs it again.

Well they replaced it and know it works fine but i am thinking about it later on if this one does the same thing

I bought a very similar POS kenwood, the x759, and haven't had any issues whatsoever. I'm only guessing at this, but I would assume anyone getting replacements now are most likely receiving refurb'd units. Could have something to do with the quality of product. However, I'd also want to get a free one if it's still under warranty.

when the head unit was replaced, was it with the exact same one?

YEA IT WAS WITH THE SAME ONE THAT WAS BRAND NEW IN THE BOX BECAUSE I SAW IT IN THE BOX BEFORE THEY PUT IT IN

replaced once, but the dealership tryed to say that my remote wire to my amp shorted it out and they didnt want t replace it. they did though.

ORDERED ONE for mine 3 months ago and i work for mazda im an advisor. They sent the dam radio to the wrong dealership so i have no radio now for 3 more months.

I've been told that my MSP's previous owner had to replace the HU and sub at some point. No idea how long it took or what kind of hassle it was.

I am waiting on a replacement for mine. The front plate doenst rotate hence can't play CD's. I am thinking it is not going to come in because I was looking at the previous owners repair work and a replacement was requested back in march.

I think I am going to call them tomorrow and check the status of a replacement. Either it needs to be replaced with the same model or it needs to be replaced with an equivelant model.

They replaced mine but they thru in that the amp shorted it out, the turbo timer shorted it out, the profec-e 01 shorted it out.....but i told him that they do not connect with the radio.

i'm on my 3rd headunit and i've never had a sub go bad. i keep it at the stock settings on that piece of paper that came with the car. i'm hoping it will die again right before i hit 50000 so i can get it replaced again. i know it will. it died a year after i got the car and then a year after it was replaced. i'm thinking i've got another 9 months out of it

My headunit went out (for the first time) about two weeks ago -- the typical faceplate locked in the horizontal position. The dealership has ordered a replacement but it has yet to arrrive. The service I received was first-rate, as it usually is.

not mine, my dealer sucks balls!! my unit has been out for more than 2 months now. and they say they can't do anything for me. WTF i'm pretty pissed.
