Stock Mazdaspeed exhaust

:
2004 Mazda3 Hatchback
Hey everybody I bought a 2004 mazda3 Hatch and I wanted to see if the stock muffler on your mazdaspeed proteges were less restrictive and made a decent sound since you have turbos built in your car. I am thinking of gettting a mazdaspeed muffler only for my M3s because every exhaust I heard is really ricy and no one has a good sounding exhaust system. Does your muffler makes a decent sound and not raspy at the higher rpms? Let me know what you guys think. I just want a good sounding muffler with a little bit more flow rate.

well the stock one sounds like ass, maybe you are refering to the Mazdaspeed exhuast available through mazda? they are supposed to sound good, in fact, mazda is giving me one next week since the tip on my stocker is all cracked up.

Well I called the mazda dealership and they have a stainless steel mazdaspeed muffler they can sell me. I am not sure if its the stock muffler or their aftermarket version. Are you getting a new stock muffler or getting a different one made for the mazdaspeed?

nope, im getting the mazdaspeed version, the one that cames stock was made by Racing Beat, i would bet you'd be getting the mazdaspeed one as well.

Get a Greddy muffler. Thats what I replaced my MSP Racing Beat OEM one with. Its not loud, not ricey, and not restrictive.

list price on that muffler is $220, so $200 is a good deal.im gettin mine for free for warranty reasons. i would agree, greddy doessound awesome, i had duals on my 7.it'd benice if they made an evo or power extreme version for the speed.owell

Ask the 3 people, man. We've got turbos, so our exhaust note is going to sound significantly different than an NA car with the same muffler. One that sounds good on our cars might very well sound like ass on yours.

Well I bought the mazdaspeed stainless steel muffler by mazda. I am going to have it put on tomorrow. It is going to take some modification to make it fit. I got it for $202. It was actually on backorder but the dealership found one in SD.
