2010 Mazda 3 Sport Five Door 6 speed
I am tour between buying a Sport or Grand Touring Mazda 3 5 door for multiple variables. One are the headlights. Any opinions to offer on how the HIDs are on the GT 3? Also what about the adaptive and self leveling aspect?

I do like the other aspects of the GT (leather, power drivers seat, heated seats & mirrors) but don't care about some (LED tail lights, rain sensing blades, auto climate control) But the HIDs could so be something I love as my night vision in the rain has always been so bad.

I ended up passing on the GT level and got a sport. Paying just 17,600 for a new cars was just too tempting. Almost seems crazy to me what level of car I got for so little money.

The steering headlights in the GT is cool. Freaky, but cool.

I settled for the i Sport instead of the Touring as well, 1. For the 2.0 over the 2.5 so i had better fuel efficiency, but mostly city driving and 2. i thought id miss the cruise controll, but i dont and never have the time to use it. 3. I installed my own HID's for fraction of the cost.

the auto leveling and the adaptive turning of the lights is definately awesome, but for a commuter car, i couldnt see spending the extra cash.

I have 6000k (brightest white you can get) the bulb type is H11. If you can get between 5000-5800k (k = kelvin, bulb color/brightness) then you will look almost completely stock. I settled for the 6000k cause thats all the dealer i bought mine off of had. I paid $80 for mine with 1 yr warranty, if you want the same deal, i can hook you up. Complete pnp, 15-20min install.
