My car starts this around 20K km, now its 30K, and alot more obvious when getting off highway, or stopping on highway.

It shakes so bad that even the passenger can feel it...

Wrapping discs?

I just done service to the car too with new air filter, the car accelerate somehowever much slower than before changing oil... even wife can tell that... hmmm whats the matter with our baby stroller... (potkettle

Derstar, we need more info, please list, ...

1. Year
2. Model
3. Kilo Meters Driven
4. Accident car or not
5. Service(s) done to it, i.e had the transmission replaced.
6. Type of Tires
7. Does it pull to one side or not.

What are you doing when it happens, ... i.e. "Just as I hit the brakes and go from 80KMP to zero it vibrates the entire deceleration".

The list is way too long, but here, but here is what I'd start with:

a) Tires Balanced?
b) Air Pressure?
b) Brakes, rotors, etc. anything lose?
b) Wheel alignment last done?
d) Tires worn even or uneven?

Same thing happened to my 5 and my wifes former 5. The front rotors would warp and give a little shimmy when braking.

I was able to get the dealer to turn the rotors under warranty on both.

I think they will cover it if its under a certain mileage. I think 12K Miles. The condition is called excessive lateral runout of the front brake rotors.

our 2006 was doing that. Took it to the local tire/brake place and they installed new pads and turned the rotors and its nice and smooth again.

Just had the rotors turned under warranty at the 24 thousand km service. $189 for the service and new belts to replace the squeal/rotors turned no charge.

Dealer did lube/oil/filter, tire rotation, caliper slide lube, and general inspection of the usual stuff.

Price seems to be about twice the expected, but I will suffer a few to smooth any warranty issues that arise.

Service manager was a peach - had the 5 washed and vacuumed, and gave me a tip on how to reset the window regulators so the fronts don't klunk into the tops of the window tracks.

He suggested that I hold down the buttons for 10 seconds after the windows bottom out to reset the regulators.

Has anyone heard of this method to reset the window switches?

I'm fairly sure I read it in the manual... or did I? I need to check, but when we got our 5, the 'auto full open/close' function wasn't working on one of the passenger windows, and doing that reset fixed it.

Edit: Hmm ok it says in the manual that you need to open the windows fully, then pull on the button to raise it and keep pulling it over 2 seconds after it has closed.

hmm, is it normal the tire seems lock itself when I loose the brake -- especially under rainy days ? like triggering a ABS lock which it shouldn't , anybody has similar experience?
