Steel/aluminum Manufacturer for Mazda?

Anyone know who makes the Steel/Aluminum for Mazda? Apparently a big shake up in Japan Kobe steel. They have been falsifying records about strength and durability. Company has lost 1/3 of its value in 2 days. Toyota and Mitsubishi effected (so far).

Maybe but possibly doubtful as diesels are still be shipped/sold elsewhere in the world.

Kobe Steel disclosed Sunday that its staff had falsified data about the strength and durability of some aluminum and copper products, and said Wednesday that iron ore powder data may also be suspect.

Iron ore is the raw material used to make pig iron, which is one of the main raw materials to make steel98% of the mined iron ore is used to make steel.

Well, the vehicles DID pass crash and crush tests...so lie or not, unless it's a recent or "only sometimes" thing, they are still hella stout.

It was the EPA the first time and you can bet its the EPA this time- is/was Mazda getting too close to the limits for comfort? Pockets not deep enough perhaps? Who knows but the answer is those 3 letters and little to nothing else..all my chips, guac too

When companies falsify quality data like this it usually comes back to bite them in the a$$. If Kobe did falsify data, then they deserve to take the loss, IMHO.
