Static zaps

Most cars have a rubber piece on the side of the door where you can touch it right before getting out to defuse the static. Doesnt work for me though...lol I usually tap the door handle or the side of the car before I even get out. Hard to believe someone can make enough static electricity to blow themselves sky high at a gas station. It's all fun and games until someone blows themselves up....then it's hilarious. lol

They make an anti-static spray which I used for the electronics lab chairs at my previous company, it works pretty well. The static can do bad things to expensive electronic equipment.

As for the rest of the time, try fabric softener. This get rid of the means to generate a surface static charge on your clothes. Spray on fabric softener works well on fabric seats also.

rubber wont ground you. just touch somewhere theres metal and you'll be grounded. this gets rid of your electric charge so it doesnt become painful or anything.

can't wait for someone to blow up cause they got grounded by the car during a fillup. if i remember correctly, the 03msp in spicy orange and black mica didn't shock me at all. i think it had to do with the meshy seating aread as compared to the static happy regular seats. how are the 03.5 msp seats?

i prefer discharging the shock when i fill up the tank...you wouldnt believe how quickly gasoline ignites.... my advice...stand back..or just shock other people as you get out of the car

I know wat to do now heheheh. When u get out u look for some one thats pumpin gass run up and shock them and RUN AWAY muhahah. Now that is one hell of a prank ;)

between cell phones, ciggarettes, static, and terrorists, and terrorists working at gas stations, getting gas is a dangerous thing these days...

maybe electric cars are the way to go minus the electrocutions
