Starting issue

Fisrt sorry for my bad english (from Switzerland)... but I'll try to explain my problem:

So recently I've had starting issue with my 3 MPS. When the car sits for about 2-3hours, there is a hesitation with start up. I have to crank it at least twice.

I've checked fuel pressure after turning key on "ON" position, and it's about 50-60 PSI. Should be more 300PSI to start the car normally. So I doubt there's leaking somewhere in fuel system. If I start right up after it was just running, fuel pressure is +400PSI and car starts normally.

How could I check that? If someone already got same issue, how did you fix it?

Thanks for your help

PS: ltft and boost vacum changed as well. Usually I have -5% at idle, now i've got +2.3%.

Does it make a rattle while its waiting to get the pressure?.... if it does thats a sign of a timing chain.... mine does it right now with about 80k on it .... the chain smacks until it gets pressure

I had a similar problem. Car would start fine in the morning or right after shutting it off, but when warm after sitting for a couple hours it would hard start. It got to the point it started stalling when idle. I took it to the dealer and they cleaned the throttle body - problem solved!!! It seems a lot of gunk builds up in there over time and the butterfly valve has trouble moving freely. Not sure how many miles you have but I had about 70-75k when it got serious. I probably ran it with the issue for at least a year or more but it got progressively worse. I'm over 90k now. You can probably check it yourself and save some cash. I thought about everything under the sun as being the possible cause (leaky fuel injectors, fuel pump, maf sensor, vacuum leak etc) but it turned out to be something really simple.
