SS Supercharged Vs Protege 2.0L

nice kill...i knew i didn't want a cobalt ss =) im much happier with my vq35 maxima ; )

It has to do wiht the 1/8 mile track. Before I was turbo'd even I coult beat my buddy's Porsche boxter until the top of 3rd gear. Protege's are geared really short in 1 and 2, and the Getrag in the Cobalt SS is quite a bit taller. Nice kill still, but quarter mile he would win by a second or so.

Nice driving homes....I wish I had time to practice at the St-Eustache track. When do you go? Anyway, I thought I could launch and shift pretty quick....I hope I don't run in to you one day, who knows maybe we already have...was that you I raced on a rolling start on Park Ave near Mont-Royal last weekend?? Then again probably not, cause I won pretty easily.

Maxx Mazda

Thanks!

Yeah thats right the 8th doesnt give him alot of room to catch me after I get out the gate. If this was at the 1/4 (Keep in mind The track was unprepped, I think I would of grabbed my 15.9, & I could see a low 15 out of him) So yeah, he would of past me in the 1/4, too bad for him it was the 8th.

Yeah I tottally understand what your saying about the gearing. FUNNY I was messing arround one night with a Porche Boxer, we got off a line at a light together, I floored it and I heard him get on it with me, BUT he let off VERRY short after (Right before I grabbed third) & granny drove the rest of the way. I was Like WTF. I dont really concider it a kill as we werent racing untill after the light when green and because he let off before third. I figure he gave a half assed attempt to put me in my place, and said **** it when he realized it would take a little more then that to pass me.

Thanks!

I got to St-Eu on Wednesdays and Thursdays where its 5$ a night.

Here is a link to there site where you can check when things are going on, Lots of Drift Mania events & s*** also.

Naw that wasnt me running with you last week, but if ever you get a chance to come out to the track, I would definaltly go down the track with you.

Some of those guys take the s*** pretty serious. Be careful when you are adding pics to your kill list because you might get a knife or some s*** pulled out on you. Funny stuff though.

Most people here are cool about it, some people get grumpy, this guy was talking a little s*** ( Him:WTF are you taking that to add it to your kill list? ME: he he he, yeah HIM: C'mon Man!! ME: Sory Dude, L8tr!) I dont think he was about to start that kind of s***. Security everywhere and only one way out. Pluss he looked like he was a Buck fifty wet in boots.

Yeah that would be interesting though, but Im not worried, Ive had to hold my grownd on more then a few times + My Partner Who just got out from a 10 year bit & is 6.1 & 220 (41 and 7 Boxing record before going in) was riding with me + Maybe 40 - 50 of my friends from the track have my back in case somebody gets dirty.

Keep in mind there are not as many Gunz in Canada (We do have our fair share though, its just alot more difficult to get one)

AHAHAHAHA Stock ES's are slower then Stock LX's (The LX is lighter, and A/C is an option)

How much stuff did you rip out first? If nothing, I say BS and challenge you to come prove it ANY time you want, Napi is only 5$, name your Tuesday.

Or did the guy next to you red light by over a second?

LX isnt going to be that much lighter then a ES. AC doesnt make a diff really at all when it is off and what else is there to make it heavier the fog lights?? Power windows dont weight much.

My R/Ts got progressively lower with every run to where they are now stable arround .1 my best is .016

My first was arround .5 but I had to get used to the tree.

What ALOTof people dont know is that in a Pro Tree the R/T clock begins at the last light before the green (Not on the green) and thhe lights drop at .5.

The Reason is becauuse a Perfect R/T is actually .5 and cant be faster due to how long the visual of the light takes to get to the brain, so you have to anticipate the light. ALSO you hhave to factor in that your staged and if your staged twrords the front of the back will impact the R/T recorded. I like to be on the limit of the rear staging lights, not the front staging lights.
