Yes indeed man...I got a little angry in the earlier post (precisely 2 minutes before I read the reply from the thread starter, I realized I had just consumed my last High Life...so I was on boil from the get go) for which I am sorry...It just pissed me off that my comments were being skewed into a "MSP is better than SRT-4" situation...and I never intended this to be a brand loyalty argument...

Overall all I am saying is that far too many kids are recieving SRT-4s, and have no idea what the car is capable of...They get on a straight road and blast along at crazy speed...IF they were doing the same in a better equipped to handle itself at those speeds car they most likely would not die as often...

I am not saying the MSP is better at those speeds...I prefer the MSP becuase it's suspension is better than its engine...In the speeds the stock MSP is reasonably capable of, everything else is more than up for the task...which overall makes it much safer for an idiot to own (not saying MSP owners are idiots...I am saying that IF an idiot should buy one, he probably won't be as inclined to kill him/herself or anyone else)

Ugh, how can you enjoy that crap High Life? Anyways, it's best not to presume too much about what happened. Last I checked, there wasn't a definitive answer.

First of all Charles, how can you question the savory finesse of Miller High Life? Crap you say?...I have drank way too much beer in my life...But one of my favorite pass times is sitting in front of a flickering moniter and consuming as much Miller High Life as I have in my possesion...Some say that leads to alcoholism, and I have become much better than in the past...But there is no beer that I have ever had that I enjoy more for the price...Imported German ales are sometimes kick ass, but they are not readily available in my college town...The taste is simply unbelievabable, especially when adequately chilled pre-consumption in the freezer for a few minutes...I will live the "High Life" until either A) I quite drinking beer...or B) my liver fails and I no longer bless this earth...

You know High Life kicks ass when you hear that awesome dude on the commercials say "You'll be living the high life"...(the dude from the I love the 80's strike back)...he is so cool, and I am such a dork that I will sometimes chant the same thing in a similar voice when I am posting stuff on the board...

Maybe you need to try the life again...My girlfriend only drank Rolling Rock, a gritty reality caused by her overly social girlfriends...until my kick ass gave her some High Life...Now we spend many an evening drinking High Life, watching I love the 80's, not doing homework, and browsing the forum...I quote the high life commercial lines, and she says how awesome I am...If I do something stupid and piss her off, she doesn't put me on sexual probation...she doesn't give me the silent treatment...She throws a party and hands out my high life to all her and my friends...and I wither in sorrow...

So buster, what kind of beer do you prefer...I bet you are a lager fan by your signature...

P.S. Charles this is all in good fun...If you don't like the life that is fine, but I simply cannot fathem a reason on why :D

LOL. I'm not that big of a drinker. But I suppose I like ones like Firestone, if you know that. The best beers I had were in Australia. Or at least I think so. Those were also the first beers I ever had. So, yeah, I don't have as much beer drinking experience as you, maybe it's just that I've had a negative experience with the high-life. ;) And how does my sig fit into any of this, I might ask?

ooohhh Firestone...I have had that a few times...pretty good, but I don't remember enough about it becuase I drank to much that evening and it all started to taste the same...

As far as your sig...I have no idea, but it looks hardy, mature and professional...I see some corner risers that appear to be from an actual track...In which case you are of high quality and have a high demand for good beer...It leads me to believe you steer clear of lower quality party beers and savor the best...high life probably isn't the best...but for the price it is more than twice as good as anything similar...

but please for my sake at least try another high life in the future...Get a good frosty mug...and chill the life until it becomes almost slushy...Then open the bottle and let it stand for precisely 2 and 1/2 minutes, poor the beer into the mug and enjoy...The mug is not necessary if you drink the beer fairly quickly (luke warm beer is for half wits)...but if you want to slowly enduldge it, you need something to keep it cold...

LOL, yeah, if you look carefully, it says "Buttonwillow Raceway Oct 19" in my sig. OK, last time I had High Life I was 18.... so it's worth another shot. :)

edit: oh yeah, thanks to tonkabui and sukegirl for helping me with the sig. I had to edit the size of it though, and it lost some of its color. That's why it's kind of hard to read the caption. Oh well.

yeah the caption is blurred on my moniter...I can tell it says something, just not what it says...

How long ago were you 18? My first experience with the life immediately had me...I loved every second of it, and purposely did not drink too much so I could keep enjoying it...that I guess is the good part...I rarely drink to get drunk, and honestly I don't even like being drunk...I say stupid things, do stupid things, and can't seem to not talk to females I don't want to talk to...so with the life I drink it just to drink it

But I am one of the only I have found that feels so strongly about high life...everyone else (minus my gf) just says they can't tell a difference between that and other cheaper beer...

I just remembered another good beer...My gf's dad goes to Canada for fishing once a year...And he always brings back a couple cases of the that Molsen XXX...crazy Canadians have beer with I guess something like double the alcohol...it screws your judgement quick, but tastes superb!...I don't think you can get it easily in the U.S. though...

Anyway back on track a little...I agree Charles with your other post that mentioned we do not yet have evidence of what exactly happened in this particular accident...My views were only from that of other SRT-4 owners that I have met in person or have witnessed...

and also none of my posts have been regarding the safety construction of the vehicle during an accident...I don't know how good it is in a crash than other compacts...I am only referring to the car's behavior (and safety) at the high speeds it is capable of...

i have no sympathy for anyone who wrecks their car while driving under the influence of anything....sucks that a cool car is wrecked but tought s*** for the owner...they should have known better...

oh...that kind of freaked me out for a minute;)...I forgot that my B-day was in there...

So you now know that my birthday is christmas in April!!! That is so awesome...

This is ridiculous...You felt criticized by our remarks, becuase you own one, and reply with a biased comeback...plus your comeback has absolutely nothing to do with my original argument...I don't care how fast a SRT-4 can go or what it can beat in a straight line...If it will toast a M3 around the "theRing", I would care...that would be a much better illustration of the cars overall performance...

I don't own either...I was not comparing it in anyway to the MSP...And I don't give a s*** and a half about what magazines say about cars...

First of all I apologize...The sucking aspects of the car was being compared to much more expensive vehicles that are basically in a similar "speed" category...I didn't care about what the MSP's numbers are, that is simply irrelevant...

the SRT-4 is very capable of reaching speeds above 100mph in less distance than most vehicles...that is my point...You can quickly gain that much speed on a highway with one...Once you get there however, the car is much less capable than say an EVO, M3, S4 or other, more expensive vehicle, that can reach those speeds in relatively a similar amount of time...this is why it is a problem for s**** that don't know how to handle at those speeds...60-0 distances don't mean s***, and two similar cars from 60-0 can behave extremely differently at 130-0...Same for handling... a skidpad rating does little to provide evidence of behavior during a 120mph sweeper on a highway...The car has much worse weight balance than pretty much any car that can reach those speeds so quickly...Put simply the chassis is not as capable as the engine...and every "expert" has quoted exactly that in a round about way...

Again this had nothing to do with the handling prowess of the MSP...The MSP can't reach 120mph as quickly, and becuase of that the driver is less inclined to do so...

An EVO, M3, or even standard 911 all are in a relatively same hp/weight ratio as the SRT-4...They all are fairly similar in acceleration...But of the cars mentioned, the SRT-4 is only similar in engine output...It does not brake as well as the others, it does not handle as well as the others, and it is not nearly as safe at above 100mph as the others...that was my argument...

I'm saying I think the car DOES have sufficient upgrades in suspension/brakes/handling/rubber/trans to handle 230hp. The performance of the rest of the car has been upgraded with the engine. I don't think it's the car that is the issue here.....it's the people who think the complete package of an upgraded sports car will make up for their lack of experience so they drive like dumbasses and die. I think that's probably what you were saying anyways.........you just added the "it sucks" part but I think I get your point..........compared to a 911 or an EVO setup it is comparitively not on par but idiots can get those cars out of shape and die just as easy.

People who are attacking loj68 need to grow up, make note that he owns BOTH a MSP and a SRT4. In all honesty I doubt that he would trash a car that he owns. I am not biased at all, I really do miss my MSP. I hate going out in front of my house and not seeing it there:(. BUT I do love my SRT4, because I am a straight line guy because there isnt alot of Auto X here. I dont want to start a flame war, but if someone is going to be attacked because he is sticking up for what he thinks is right, thats just ******* stupid.

Wow, I just got updated on your MSP AZspeed (RIP #1). Nice to see you got a new car! So you bought a 2004 SRT-4? Is there any other reasons why...beside the fact you like going in a straight line. did you ever post a full story of what happened? I'll go look for it.

My MSP is powered by a Hemi.

Hemi power!

I did make note that he owns both...he replied to my and another post demanding that we fix our false claims before we get "blasted"...All I did was clarify what I meant...I didn't trash or attack him, but merely redefined what my point was...

But sounds good Loj68...You see what I mean now...I would be much more comfortable at 140mph in an M3 than in a SRT-4, that is what I was referring to...And IMO the car is not far enough upgraded from a standard economy car to handle those speeds...Your opinion is different and that is fine...and you own one and I don't, so it really does not matter what my opinion on it is...The car is hellishly fast so overall just be careful...And you are also correct with some of the younger owners who drive them, they are most of the problem...

For loj68 and AZSpeed:

How do you like the SRT-4? Any issues with reliabilty? It's a general (mis)conception that Japanese cars tend to be a bit more reliable than American. Just wanted to get some opinions on the car, nothing else :)

The SRT-4 does give some serious hp per buck :D

Indeed...Sorry about all the bulls***...this is where the problem is...Being that the SRT-4 is far cheaper than either of these, it easily gets it's steering wheel into the hands of morons (In my area it is getting similar to LS-1 Z28's...all these straight line maniacs want one, but have no idea overall how to drive...just how to mash the throttle and slam a shifter)...But check out bimmerfest.com ...You run into spoiled kid M3 owners, that believe the M3 was initially designed for street racing...and that nothing about it is needed on a track...just that he should race every single person on the street he possibly could...And he killed himself, and a rear passenger a few weeks later...

Overall I didn't mean to get so offesive, I don't hate SRT-4's at all...and I actually admire America's making of one of the fastest production FWD cars ever made...I just blamed the SRT-4's chassis/suspension and others on stupid drivers...which may have been wrong...
