SR20 vs SRT-4

Well its officially on. One of my good friends is gonna race a 400+ hp srt-4. The sr20 has a stock block and dynoed at 438 hp with no fan on the ic. Its gonna be in LA area, so if any LA peeps wanna see this too let me know, i'll be there.


who do you think is gonna come out on top????

Wow, sounds really quite lame. I hope that SRT-4 embarasses his ass. I love all the info readily available about his car.. "It has an SR20" wow..that means aboslutely nothing..There are several different incarnations of that motor..Moreover..The 350+hp claim is a bit bold. Whatever..BTW, there are crazier cars on the east coast because there is more tuning support and a bigger scene..(believe it or not..)

stock block with t3/t4

stock block also t3/t4
Pretty much same power

sr20 is my bet, but most of it depends on the launch. Hope this is going down at a real dragstrip with lights so there's no bs about I wasn't ready. Hmm, wonder what kind of timeslips they'll turn....

wtf are you talking about? JWT, the master of Nissan tuning is 3 miles from my house. but, yeah, youre right, all the Nissan tuning powerhouses are on the East coast. since your the nissan expert, wanna tell me where they are?

you also obviously know approximately dick about the SR20. they are all the same, the only difference between the DET and the DE is oil squirters (nice, but not important for making big power) and lower compression (a timing curve adjustment away from a moot point). stock bottom end record (stock pistons, rods, crank) is 649whp, ut youre right, 350+whp IS totally impossible. those damned dynos are such liars.

why'd you decide to go with the 200sx over the 240/180 body? Is your car still an FF setup?

let me know what track and time I live about 30-45 min from LA, I would love to see an SRT against that SR-20. I would say it is gonna be all driver and who sticks on the launch.

I know that a 240sx would get whipped by srt 4 even with a sr20 swap with smilar whp... Even tho the 200sx is lighter, it loses in the rwd department and launching would be hard as hell for him. besides its the torque that counts and the dodge engine has a better torque curve so my money is on srt4...
