don't flame on the topic, because i could give 2 sh*ts if anyone disagrees with this and money won't be issue with it. but after doing some research on motors (4cyl 2.0's mainly) i'm greatly greatly contemplating a motor swap on the msp. in the end it basically came down to the 4g63 and sr20, same size, same intake/exhaust setup (4g63 was gonna be difficult here as inlet for throttle body is reverse, which is why i keep with the sr20). i have a very reputable shop that deals with high end cars to help out pretty much do the swap with me. ill use a fwd version (obviously lol) sr20det, stock internals are good for 450whp so they'll be left that way. ser spec v tranny will be used beefed up a bit to handle some abuse. custom axles will be made from another awesome local shop here. i figure ill need ecu and wiring harness, shift linkage, custom motor mounts. i just wanna know what else you'd think i'd need, i've been doing some research on it all to do it. i've seen 4g63 honda civics no prob and i actually have a buddy with a small block v8 in his eg hatch. i've helped swap a 4g63 in a little mirage, but that was pretty much straightforward and easy to do since it was a turbo model already...anyway help would be awesome. im shooting for 300hp easy with a garrett gt2860rs turbo which i know won't be a problem and my best friend is a mastermind behind the sr20 which is another reason for my pick. hopefully it'll be done soon, about summer time or so. gotta get prepared soon though.
