Sprint Boost?

well then let us kno when ya get it installed. im sure your gonna love it, from what i read, everyone i that has it is happy with it.

I have a decal you can put one and add 30whp. It only will cost you $100.

But for real this is a shammy sham sham sham.

DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT.

He is right. Please, please, please don't waste your money on this thing expecting any sort of power gains.

At least the ebay power chips only cost $20 bucks... you could actually buy a real mod for the kind of money this thing will scam you out of. Unfortunately, reviews on products like this are heavily influenced by the placebo effect. Not to mention how uninformed consumers tend to convince themselves of a non-existent improvement to avoid facing the fact that they just wasted a chunk of cash. How do you think turbonators still sell???

LOL true, but i guess im in a place of advantage, because like i said earlier the place i'm buying it from, is allowing me to have a month free to test it out, after that time i could chose to keep it of get refunded....

I agree tho the mind has easy time convincing its self things are really when really they are fake... im truely gonna test it out, im gonna time my 0- 60, if there is a significant change ill keep it if not, like you said ill use the money for something more worth it...

only one way to find out!

Did you try it for saying that ?

Hahaha, he said, that the Sprin tbooster" in NO WAY adds HP, it simply increases the throttle response. and that you cant judge this mod until you've tried it urself.

^^ I can judge because I've had a Venom 400 on my Integra, which does the exact same thing. It was a blast for the first day or two until I read about how it really worked, and noticed my gas mileage dropped significantly. Like I've said, if you want to go faster, put your foot down farther.

So it just increases throttle. Seems like it would only work at any throttle position except for WOT. but I would say to put the people against it to rest. Do some 1/4 mile runs with it and with out it and see if there is a change. Personally it seems like a waste of money, but it's your money and if there is proof that it actually makes the car faster I will change my mind. From just reading this thread about how it works, it sounds a those $20 ebay chips.

Good luck with it.

ill know tonight im getting it put in!

OK I think you should edit your first post and make it clear that this has Zero HP gains. That way you don't sound all cryptic and sorry to say misleading. Or I can just post it in gian red letters after every post that i see here that is misleading people.

you right ill fix it.

This just increases the RESPONSIVENESS of the throttle, that's all. No extra HP or TQ although it FEELS like you gained a ton because of the way the car reacts to your right foot.

Not arguing that... just saying it's a waste of money when putting your foot farther down solves the problem. For instance, if you are drag racing where you are only full throttle, it will make no difference. I am not going to spend that kind of money for my car to register 50% throttle when I am at 25%. Excuse me for being forward, but if that is all it does, it's a dumb purchase

Right. The only way there could possibly be an improvement of any kind is if the actual position sensor on the accelerator pedal generated a significant delay between you pressing the pedal to a certain position, and sending that signal to the ECU. There may well be some delay or processing of that signal before it reaches the throttle servo, but I can absolutely guarantee that would happen in the ECU itself.

There is nothing that this device can do that one cannot already do with their right foot.

I've tried not to get pulled into this debate considering I was the first MS6 in North America to get it and I've already heard what all of the naysayers have said on the other 6 forum.

And I can certainly understand what many have said but what I can't understand is how anyone can judge a product without actually trying it?

I understand you can have perceived judgements based on what you think it does, but having driven with this on and off the car, I can tell you that pressing the pedal more does not give the same response.

Having said that, I'm led to believe that there's more to it than what some potentiometer $10 electronic doo-dad could also do.

For me personally, it's the most enjoyable of all of the mods I've done - and by that, I mean it gives me the most driving pleasure ... and for me that's why I mod, not necessarliy to go faster.

I will say this too to be fair ... I installed this on another local MS6 and he felt diddly squat ... so I'm not sure how it'll take to your car snooky.

I guess ill know tonight, the suspense is KILLIN me!

Sorry LBV, but you've been mis-led. I'm pretty sure you've read all the posts about this gizmo and one fella did some testing and found the TPS output was maxed at ~60% of pedal travel so pressing further did nothing.

And this is certainly enough reason for you to purchase and enjoy. I also understand your statement about trying it, but that's not necessary for the folks looking for more power. There is no debate on that. I will agree with you that there is or at least should be a perception of more power because you are flooring the throttle command at only half pedal travel.

There is a similar mechanical device for cars with cable throttles that wrap around the throttle shaft on an eccentric cam. It basically has a different curve profile that opens the throttle plate further than the pedal did in relation to stock movement ratio. It is only about $20 though, so the Sprint Booster at $300 is not cost effective for many, if not most, Speed6 drivers.

I for one am not bashing you for bubbling over with excitement and recommending everyone try it. I'm glad the marketer is making a few bucks on it, just not from me. Enjoy!
