My 01 R/T has the same rate as the MSP stock but I am sure the shocks are tuned to perfrom a little better. I have a friend with Eibach's that are progressive and for small bumps they are nice but they are pretty stiff and can be kinda hard to eal with on a day to day basis.
Just think about it, though, that means that the car should settle a full 6" at every corner under the car's weight, and have a huge amount of rolling over under cornering, even with the big sway bars. I wonder if that spec is just the INITIAL rate and the springs are progressive, so the actual spring rate once the car is on the ground is actually higher.
By comparison, the Tein HA coilovers I had on my Celica had a rate of 394lbs front and 504 lbs rear....
Didn't I read somewhere that Racing Beat had taken a different path to tuning the MSP? That they had gone with soft springs and big bars to give a softer ride but dial out the body roll? But I can't remember where I read that....
