If any of you guys had your lowering springs put on by a professional...I was just wondering how much it costs...b/c I don't have the skills to do it myself and don't really know how much they'd charge for something like this...I'm also trying to watch my spending, I've been going out of control lately!
PEACE>>>

the ones i asked told me around 400 (I asked in two dealers).

Yes, "**** that" indeed.

well .. I called 2 places that some of my friends have had work done. One guy quoted me $300 just for labor if I ordered all the parts. Not to mention, I have an '06 so I got this long b**** session about lowering my car.

I also called another, who seems to be better with the car modding enthusiast, and I got quoted $200 for the istall of springs and camber kit (which I have ordered) and complete alignment. Since alignments are somewhat pricey these days, I think I am going to go with this guy. Hopefully his $200 quote holds true, should find out end of this week or begining of next.

200 sounds about right. the book probably says 2.5 hours or so. so they probably are charging $75/hr which is the going rate (around here at least).

you know .. that is right about the time. The first guy got real confused when I called him cause there were multiple times in the books for this job. One was about 2.5 and the other 3. So he was quoting me for 4-5 hours job. Even still after the lecture .. I was about done talking to him.

its really not that i hard i just recently did it with my g/f's dad and we knocked it out in bout 7hrs, neither of us are gurus, especially me. he had done it on 2 miatas in the past, but they were nothing near the same so it was like 2 rookies doing it

7 hours? dammit. i was going to do my own but if its gonna take that lon i rather pay someone. my time is worth more

bs on which on my post? seriously, it was not too bad, that may be an optimistic estimate but it could not have been much more, the damn fronts are the rediculous part

I paid 150 at a speed shop in houston. Dealers wanted 500 at the time. Needless to say, I did the coilover swap on my on.

yeah people always say things aren't worth their time and "time is money"..but really what are you going to be doing with that time unless you're doing something else making $57/hr.......

lol no :bs: on zoomvt's post saying his time was worth more $$... i was just callin em as i see em...

(hah) haha ya, i would think so too, and from a previous post i read, he has "girly" arms anyways, so i dont know how well the whole thing would work out

yeah the problem is everyone in Maine cant see very well (all the interbreeding and birth defects...).

As far as my time being worth money, well it is. Last night i made $200/hr playing poker.
