sports or touring?

Well ive been searching around for a white touring in manual and it seems none in existence. 1 dealer i found wanted 16710 with 500 cash back and 500 mazda rebate. and does not wanna lower the price. second car i found is white sport manual and wants 15730 with only 500 mazda rebate. is it worth getting the sport or vice versa? or should i get a different color for 16430 touring manual. which leads me to my 3rd question any pics of grey touring out there?

Royal Mazda has a White Sport still wrapped in plastic. My wife picked the touring because she liked the extras and as a car guy I would have swapped steel wheels with something aftermarket which would have eaten into the difference anyway.

sup dawson, yeah thats the one i was looking at. seems no one else carry the white paint in our part of the state. kindda sucks im limited to haggling. how do u like ur aquatic blue touringT? and thats manual right?

Yep, I see no reason for a auto in this little car. I bought it so my son doesn't have to drive to Foothill College in the old convertible Mustang I've been restoring for the boys.

Wife loves it and was the one who picked it out. Doesn't handle as nice as the Mini Cooper we sold so I may have to address that.

For me the difference wasn't huge. Wheels can be swapped, front tweeters added, spoiler is a few bolts, chrome exhaust tip. Fog lights are pricey though from Mazda.
The leather wheel is nice and I like the Information Center which is the reason we went with the touring.

I have a bad habit of modifying my cars. My Daily Driver is a 560RWHP 2004 GTO so the wife trying to keep this one stock.

As for as searching for White, Putnam has a few automatics and Redwood City has all automatics.

Royal in SF has a White sport.
Dublin has a white Touring.

The rest are all automatics.

BTW I love the Blue. It's a very nice shade.

sweet more bay area mazda 2 owners. i picked up a white touring at putnam and honestly i agree the auto is just going to bore you.

mray so ur the one that picked up that mazda2 white i was looking at. DAMN U!!! jk lol... dawson were pretty much on the same boat i just sold my old 94 mustang gt convertible, it was nice to have a 5.0 but for a daily driven car with $4 bucks a gallon not worth keeping the car. as i write this reply dublin just called me and looks like they're giving up with the price so right now im waiting for them to email me more details on financing and monthly i told them im firm with what i want hehehe..

Good luck. This mustang is a 84 with a Holley four barrel. The word gas mileage can't be used in the same sentence.

ive seen the silver/grey one in person. at first its really light but depending on where it sits it starts to look kind of dark grey. i didnt bother getting it because i dont like silver cars myself.

wasnt me lol i picked it up like 4 weeks ago

To me, it seems silly not to spend the bit extra and pop for the Touring model (if for nothing else than the schnazzy seats, slick alloy wheels and convenience of cruise control). I've got my eye on a manual touring as well and they are also hard to find here in AZ, most all are automatics. Check out the How much did you pay for your Mazda 2 thread for an idea of what these are going for. I think that 16710 is a reasonable deal if it has what you want.

actually i already bought my m2 decided to go with the white touring I actually got a good deal out of it, 16052 was total price with tax and license then i added a 700 for gap, so came out 16700..

Oh, nice! I thought I wanted a red one, but the more I look at the white, the more I like it. What was their starting price?

Hi! I'm new to the forum. I think it's funny that many bay area people were looking for a White Touring M2that's manual. I bought it! There was only one in California and on memorial day weekend, I had it shipped from Fresno. I think I got it for a bad price though =(

The manual touring models are hard to come by. I found three around Baltimore beween all 4 dealers or so. Two black ones were available locally as well as an aqua blue and I got a price of $14,500 before taxes, tags, title and shipping. A local dealer found a red touring MT in VA in their warehouse and brought it up for me, it was $14,700 and after everything was done, I believe I was at about 16,000.

The cruise control, seats, steering wheel, alloys, and spoiler to make make the little extra for the touring definitely worth it.
