Well I have on order (as stated above):

oil cooler (stock)
oil filter pedistal (stock)
S4 non turbo water pump housing
S4 thermostat neck
RE dipstick
turbo oil filler tube
Spec stage 3 clutch kit (due in today)
Custom KGrails fuel rails for the RE engine

Now I am looking at the following:
oil filter sandwich (to have addt spots for sensors)
external wastegate with dump tube
SS oil cooler lines
Samco radiator hoses
primary injectors

not sure which I should buy next.

ok so I got the clutch and installed it.. put the block off plate on the rear iron where the stock twins drained oil back into the pan.

Here is a pic of the clutch.

I sure hope so.. I just went and bought some barbed fittings for the fuel rails.. I cant afford AN's and I dont wanna dick with them either..

btw bought my adjustable fuel pressure regulator yesterday!!!

ok got the o-rings for my secondary injectors.. so now I can install the upper rail tonight. gotta get the primary injectors then I will be ready to install the primary rail with injectors as well.. :)

Well rough night tonight for prep work..

Got home.

cleaned the rear oil pressure regulator, put oil in it and then installed it

cleaned the almost BRAND NEW oil pickup put the new gasket on and bolted it down.

put on the oil pan. **** the RE oil pan wont fit over the S5 T2 oil pickup...

take the oil pan to the garage.. heat the oil pan at said spot and hit over and over with a 3lb sledge hammer. after an hour of test fitting it fits..

go to the store and buy "The right stuff" gasket maker.

install the engine oil pan and tighten down.

Tomorrow the engine will go in.. SWEET!!!

THX Joe... Today is the drop in day. Lots of pics will be coming (if I remember in the heat of dropping it in).

I'm just glad to have things moving.

Well with MANY problems and some still not figured out I did get the engine and trans in today.. I still have to climb under and bolt the trans bracket to the body but the engine is on the mounts.

THX... unfortunatly if the funds dont start coming in this wont be done this summer.

I have given myself a deadline.. July 22d (my b-day) if the car is not ready to start by then I will put the project back till next spring and finish doing everything else to it when I can afford to.

Since last OCT I have gotten about 95% of the stuff I have bought for the car on a sheet and I have $6,1xx.xx into the car. lots of money in little time and I still need about 3K or more.

Got the trans bolted in tonight.. took me about 2 hours what a PAIN!!!!..

also put the turbo clutch slave cylinder on..

now its time to sleep lol..

That trans mount was a beast! lol...at least the bolt was. I am just happy that you did not snap the bolt.

Water pump is on
oil filler neck is on
Oil filter adapter is on (wrong one)
Thermostat neck is on loose (awaiting t-stat)
some of the wire harness has been plugged in.

pics to come later.
