so now u see how to spend 2000.00 on a rotary

I was looking into it and have heard/read that they are having problems with them holding much more over 400hp and boost without breaking..

and that the shaft is only like .6lbs lighter, and the oil journals are smaller..

so I put it all together and realized that if I use my S5 T2 rotors and my S5 T2 e-shaft I wont have to have the assembly balanced.. so I can save money and really not loose anything in the long run.

Good news, Bad news...

I started to get the engine ready to piece together.. I for the front iron on the stand, put the front stationary gear in and the front needle bearing and cap on.

I began to clearance the side seals on the front rotors.. that is now complete..

I moved to the rear rotor.. I put in the first corner seal.. the second.. the 3rd.. NO.. The 3rd corner seal will not go in the corner of the rotor..

I look the rotor over and realize that is the corner where the apex chip came loose out of the last engine. On the face of the rotor is a chunk of apex seal chip smashed in and the corner where he corner is bent in a touch..

The rear rotor on my build is NO good..
So now I need another (used) turbo rotor so I can continue..

Nothing more can be done at this time..

MAN... the crap that happens.. lol

OK.. delema....

Buy a rotor for my engine or buy 1 drivers side (only) RX8 black leather seat.. the seat is in flawless shape.. quite local and well I may or may not be able to do both this week ..

I need the rotor to build the engine however I need the seats before the car can drive anyway...

what do u think.

buy the rotor, screw the seat.

I'd rather be able to drive it in a bad seat than to not drive it but sit in a nice seat....

The seat sounds like its a deal that won't be around long whereas you can pick of another rotor next week

I mean I will want to get a match down the road but the seat is 125.00 picked up.. like I said FLAWLESS and damn near brand new..

the rotor I am looking at is an FD rotor I have yet to see the condition of it and its 150.00

so yeah.. just not sure what to do .. wish I could afford both.. its possible I can but I wont know till tomorrow.
