SPOOL Stage3 dyno stats!!!

actually yes i am getting srt-4 i was kidding the stage 4 should be bad ass!!! and should pull on me stock.. but then i might have to turn the boost up to 15 =)

btw your cars and mine will lose to a 2002 camaro ss stock.. stage 4 or not.. well my car with stage 3 should keep with em..

Bahahha OMG this is so gay. Why start making judgements on who's theoretical car would win in a supposed race. This is like talking about a lion and a bear in a fight and who would win.

This thread was about the Spool stage 3 stats, not about comarro's or srt-4's racing in fantasy land. This is not a flame, but if you really want to discuss these things-start your own thread in the relevant forum. :)

Anyway, lets not make this a "who's got the bigger d*** contest" and let's stick to the topic. Providing I can get the money situation squared away, I might be able to afford a nice turbo kit sometime in the upcomming year.

Just had to, but what about handling capabilities. Mazda chasis engineering is quite remarkable on this application. Let's look at a well balanced picture here. I see the SRT-4 as a straight line car. By the time you're done with the suspension to make it even handle close to a stock MP3, much less a MSP, you will have spent as much as a MP3 with Spool ST4. Once again, another "theory".

If i'm not mistaken in a recent mag I read it said that the new neon will do the 1/4 mile in 14.2 sec at 102 mph. What's really awsome is the fact they said that car has a speedometer of 160 and will do 155 easily

I dunno, man, according to SCC, the Neon did 69 through the slalom. And neons are known for their nimble handling. Just look at some AutoX race sheets.

What this guy said. You all have some relevant questions, but let's try to stay on topic please. If you need something specific answered that may take this thread way off topic, please start a new thread with your specific concern.

This power is all realized because of Spool's manifold - the BEGI manifold is horrible, I'm sorry guys, but it's true =/

It's not terrible, but Spool's will probably flow better.

what is the biggest difference between the two manifolds and is spools shorty lower end manifold still better than the FM Protege one
?

FM/BEGI utilizes a cast log manifold setup. Our manifolds are tubular. Generaly when dealing with a tubular manifold it more efficiently harness's the exhaust gasses and pulses to subsequently increasing flow and responsiveness. As far as the shorty compared to the log, I cannot really make a comment on that because there is no scientific data or testing comparing the 2.
On a side note we have realised that the full mani spools up the turbo about 200 rpm (full boost onset) quicker

Also there are many other factors that take volumetric efficiency into account such as turbo utilization, manifold design, intercooler efficiency and design and charge piping design to name a few

Spoolin....You need to talk to somebody to produce some mild cams that will work with the turbo. I know about the other cams that some people on this board have but those are crap. Someone needs to talk to Crower Cams to see if they can make cams for us. You would have 300 hp easily if u had some fairly aggressive cams.............. Just a thought

I think the engine management will have a much better effect than cams for the price/performance that you'd get. Just an opinion as I'm no expert. Maybe someone can shed some more light on this.

Well the thing is a set of cams would benefit the people with Spoolin's stage 2 kit. For those who couldn't afford a computer cams would be the next best thing. Instead of pushing 167 hp to the wheels it would be a good 10 hp more with cams. I'm not disagreeing with u in anyway because you are wright but like i said for the people without the big cash cams would be best

My experience on turboed cars, I never really utilized cams because stock cams generally realy work well on turbo apps for the most part. And for the money spent on cams you could do more worth while mods that will give way more hp such as test pipes, bigger exhausts, FMIC ect
