SPOOL springs REAR

durrr.........

this is a permanent problem. its not a matter of settling. spool springs simply will not lower the back of an msp

i got my replacement springs in, put them in and the back was higher than stock. ever since i have been running stock suspension in the rear and have been in the market for some new springs (tein or ion)

terry stopped selling the springs shortly after the not lowering the msp fiasco, and has since been bought out and is no longer producing any products for the protege if he is even still in business.....

yeah ... that blows ... I have a set of replacement springs that I have yet to put on the car ... brand spanking new, but I dont want to go through all that if I am gonna get the same results (i.e NONE) so I have not done it.

has anyone replaced the rear springs yet?

dude, i put the fronts and rears on, rears were higher than stock and terry assured me they would not settle.

sell the complete set to a protege sedan or p5 owner

the rear of my car is still too high

1 finger gap in front, 1.5 fingers in back

my car looks like a kneeling bus

oh, and if I park on any sort of downward incline, the rear pops up even more!

notice in my sig pic I'm parked uphill :) that's so my car doesn't get ass happy

I'm guessing it would be 2 fingers in back if it weren't for my sub box, 2 drivers, amp, and various car care stuff

don't know, but I am so not in the mood to spend more money to buy a new set of springs, go through the whole install process again, and pay to have them re-aligned again

teins are too soft from what i have heard and wont be as good handling as the stock MSP springs

ion race spec springs look like the best stance, AND should improve handling or leave it the same i believe

as for the spools....i plan on selling mine when i take em off. its only MSPs they are no good for. they apparently work find on protege sedans without MSP struts and on p5s.......

here's my spools on a p5

yea.. it's been like that since i had them installed. i got them back in feb. i think that the msp's and mp3's should be lower because of the subs and stuff... my raked stance will be gone in a matter of days.. i'm getting JICs installed

does anyone know if terry had a system in the trunk of his mp3? i think the spool springs are perfect for those with systems in the back.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't a stock Protege sedan and P5 already have a bit of a raked stance?
