You need to remove the rear panel and seat belt fixture to get to the back.

how do i remove the platic thing? im guessing by laying down the seats and then just popping the clips

yes, exactly ... laying down the seats will allow you to get to the clips easier.

ok, and after those clips are popped out?
what did you use to pop them out?
after that you will be able to get to the tower bolts for your struts. the clips need to be lifted from the center and then they will just pop out, no tool is needed.

ok i figured all that out, did you just pull that rear section out of the way with the middle seat belt still attached?+

What I did was lift up the little flaps where the child seat anchors go, and stick a finger in there and pull towards you(towards the front of the car)**If you have tint, be carefull not to pull UP** The two side seat belts will pop out from that rear deck lid piece. Give the center seat belt some slack, and rotate the plastic deck lid sideways(90 degrees), and have it going into the trunk area(with the seats down obviously). Hope that made sense...

yeah, ok, i get it.
i do need to take the seat belts off to get to the top of the strut bolts correct?

Yeah, there are little slots on the outside of the rear deck lid that they slide out of:)

Oh, sorry:) No, you should have room to stick the socket in behind there...I used about a 4"extension and it worked great.

ok that sounds good, that little back plastic peice is just sitting up there in my car right now, im going to try to finish it all tomorrow and get realighed wednesday

ENOUGH!!!

off to PM!!!!

this thread is only for spool springs and the trials and tribulations of those who bought them

NO! i bought spool springs, and im having a little trouble getting them in. my last question is going to be, How did you get to the two bolts that hold the strut to the brake assembly? did you have to move that black brake line out of the way? i cant seem to get my rachet down in there, and my extension isnt really helping. do i just unclip it from the back like i did on the fronts? i read the how to on a p5, and it said something about a backwards bolt and unhinging the brakes or something like that and i didnt see any of that stuff. there, thats my last off topic post, for now MUAAHAHAH

1-2-3 CLEAR!!

beep .... beep .... beep ....

Ok, this thread is back to life again .... I am wondering who now has the SPOOL replacement springs in the rear ... and are getting proper drop. Everyone who has had them replaced should have a settled look now.

Who here thinks they are the same? who has the proper 2'' drop? post away ...
