does anyone know of any good companies offering sponsorship. i recently got sponsored by racer x motorsports and i am waiting to here back from them after sending in my contract and everything. i heard the other day though that racer x tries to screw you and doesn't get that good of deals on parts, so i'm not sure if i'll stick with them if thats the case. any feedback would b appreciated, thanks. peeeeeace.

You might want to do a "search" for Racer x. If Im not mistaken there are several threads that discuss what their whole scam is.

i did a search and found that a few other ppl actually got the same exact sponsorship as me. nothing really negative. i actually heard it from someone who signed my guestbook on my cardomain page. i don't know what to expect but hopefully i'll hear from rxm soon.

Racer X is a scam, you do not need to "pay" to get a sponsorship. Depending on wht type of sponsorship you recieve, you may have to pa a certain % of the cost of the parts.

Hit me up on AIM tonite at ilovemyspeed, and Ill foward you a copy of what my proposal looks like. Ill explain everything you need to know, and do, to get a sponsorship. It is alot more detailed then people think.

They can, and will require you to compete in at least 8-10 shows a year. (depending on the company) Also, if you have no previous competition expierience, they wont even consider you. They want to see someone who has taken the time and money to build a nice car. That way, they know you are dedicated, and they wont feel like they could possibly be wasting thier time and money on a scrub.

i have got several sponsorships from companies and have not had to pay a dime to get the sponsorship. some of the sponsorships i have to pay the shipping for and one of my sponsorships is just 60% off retail.

thanks for the info.. tonight i'll hit ya up boostisgood on IM and we can talk. this is the first car i'm working on being that i am 18 but have been around cars for awhile. i am still kind of a newb with the turbo and everything but i'm tryin to learn as much as possible right now. if i do qualify for sponsorship i'm not gonna screw anyone and i am quite serious about this, so it wouldnt b a waste of money. i'll ttyl, peace.
