ANYONE KNOW HOW ONE OF US CAN GET SPONSORED BY SOMEONE.........I FIGURE SOME COMPANY WOULD WANT TO USE AN MP3 SINCE THEY ARE RARE.......SO THAT WAY THE CAR CAN HAVE IT ALL, WITH OUT ONE OF US HAVING TO PAY FOR IT......OR IS SPONSORSHIP A THING IN THE PAST, SINCE THE COMPANY WILL BY THE CAR THEMSELVES AND FIX IT UP........BECAUSE ONE OF US NEEDS OUR CAR SPONSORED SOMEHOW.......OR I AM I DREAMING!!!!!!!!!!!

it depends on what you want to be sponsder for. usually you have to have a lot of work down to your car before someone will sponser you. Luckily i know a few guys with a stereo shop and they are going to use my car as a display car and set it up for SQ and SPL, not really to win either of them but just show there range of work by doing really well in either of them.

, can you please turn you caps lock off GET A FEW AFTERMARKET COMPANIES TO PAY TO HAVE THE CAR FIXED UP.......s*** I DONT WANT TO PAY FOR IT........ALSO THEY DO EVERYTHING SO IF THE ENGINE BLOW THEY WILL BUY YOU A NEW ONE.........THIS MUST BE A THING THAT HAPPENED A LONG TIME AGO BEFORE THE AFTERMARKET SCENE BECAME REAL POPULAR.........I KNOW A FEW PEOPLE WHO DIDN'T PAY FOR s***, BUT THIS WAS FIVE YEARS AGO.....ALL THESE AFTERMARKET COMPANIES ADDED TURBOS AND WHAT NOT TO THEIR RIDE, THEY DIDN'T PAY FOR ANY OF IT...........MAYBE BECAUSE THEY WERE SNOWBOARDERS AND SKATERS WHO COMPETED PROFESSIONALY AND HAD SPONSORS LIKE BURTON FOR THEIR SPORT,SO IT WAS EASIER FOR THEM TO GET s*** DONE TO THEIR CAR BECAUSE OF THESE SPONSORSHIPS........EVEN THOUGH BURTON HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE CAR SCENE, I GUESS EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT BURTON........
IF you have a local shop in your area...that is who I would start talking to first.....
have you established yourself a name in the raceing circut there? or the Audio Contests? or any specific area in which you can or do compete and promote the types of sponsors you are looking for? do people KNOW you, are you a top finisher in those areas? those are the things sponsors look for....some recognition.....if they are going to put money into YOUR car...and you are going to prominately display THEIR name on the side of YOUR car...then they will want some results....they will EXPECT you to do some winning for THEM....for if people believe that you are winning because of THEIR products...that brings them customers.....THAT is a big part of what sponsorships are about...ADVERTISING!!! Not to mention...they can take a tax deduction for the advertising.....why do you think every professional racer out there has some product name plastered on the side of their car....I will tell you...its not because VIAGRA or anyone else LIKES raceing that much that they want a team.....ITS A TAX WRITE OFF!!!
so....if you want someone to sponsor your car, give you FREE stuff....you will have to work for it in some fashion....its how the world works.....you don't get something for nothing AND you get what you pay for. :{D

If you're really interesting in getting sponsored, call up some of the companies you're looking to sponsor you. They should be able to tell you if the have a sponsorship program and what you'll need to do to aquire one. Subywan is looking to be sponsored by RoJa, so he called them and they seemed very interested in his Wagon. So he took some pics with the Digi Cam, wrote out an essay explaining what modifications he has and stating what his goals with his car are. Being in a good car club always helps to. The club he is in, which is still in it's building process for a west coast chapter, is already sponsored by Meguires. They're based out of Detroit Michigan and have gotten a good amount of publicity at some of the shows in that area. The Club is Redline Motorsports. I hope some of that info helped a little.

Thank you apex.......that is good info........I am not in a car club....I now see how yu go about getting a sponsor.........I really am not going to look into it, anytime soon.......I was more curious how it happens to some people..........Thanks again for the reply and someday soon maybe I will look into it seriously to see what feed back I can get.........Plus my local shops suck out here........If i do any mods to the car i am driving out to LA to have it done........It is only four hours from vegas, and would be worth the trip........
sir nuke that is also good info.........I am not in any kind of car club or have done any racing........know one know's who i am.......I guess i am just another guy with a ride that wishes it could be tricked out to the max.......maybe someday i will........You helped me figure out what i need to do if i wanted to really look for someone to fix up the car without me putting too much cash into it........I could afford to do stuff but i had a bad experience with my last car......i added aftermarket parts and it only caused me a headache and extra cash because s*** wasn't done right.......I am one who cares about the warranty so i dont feel like messing with it yet.........Thanks again
