Speed6 Xede track results!!!!!

Amazing! Especially if you know how much is involved to get a Protege to hit low 13's high 12's...It's great to see the MS6 prove itself with these few but highly effective mods...(thumb)

is the 13.1 with the xede fully tuned or just playing around 'safely'?? im not too sure if you already posted it but what was the boost and a/f r's at?? 7/10 of a second is crazy!!! awesome job though.

AFR at WOT 12.4/1 boost 17-18psi(15.6stock) timing retarded down low and advanced up top...want to know more? Gotta ask Ken.(headbang)

damn thats a pretty high afr no?

Not really that a semi aggresive tune. With the timming being a bit more retarded on the low end he should be fine.... Those 2.3 Disi's are very well built motors. He should be just fine with these numbers....

PS congrats on the awsome run.... high/mid 12's is just a few bolt ons away.

eh i guess i kind of forgot about disi in this case...i've always heard that a 12:1 is pretty aggressive on a turbo car, but those were regular non disi motors...

An AFR of 12.5 is normal on a turbo application. The disi's can run a little leaner than that. I probably would not go any higher than 13.0 without some race gas or E85.

i don't know if i'd put ethanol in a standard fuel vehicle as over time it could corrode the fuel lines and clog your filtration systems. the octane level is however higher than normal gas. just my .02

i run as lean as 12.8 on my protege actually. 12 to 1 is in many cases the best range to make power without compromising safety

This might have been asked, but what octane level did you use during the 1/4 and what octane should be used for the base map of the xede.

Direct port ethy injection is not so bad though..... Wont really hurt anything, cept the O2 sensors might get damaged over time.
