Here I have my used Mazdaspeed Cold Air Intake.....it is used and abused, has its share of rub marks dings dents and scratches from 5 years of use but is still fully functional and never threw a CEL. Only reason Im selling is due to the massive amount of rainfall that my area has endured over the last few years.....i just feel better having a short ram.
It will come with the original mazdaspeed dryflow filter as well as an addition AEM driflow, both will be cleaned before shipment.
You will need to buy your own hose clamps as I tossed the originals due to them being oxidized or whatever.

seeing as this thing was $300 plus new....Im looking for $100 shipped in the US
If my asking price is met I will throw in a red injen hydroshield cover for the filter.

Are you sure there is nothing wrong with it? Seems a bit odd you've had it for years and just now switch to a short ram. Is it really that bad with the water? I know CAI's have always had the vapor lock myth but it's always seemed to be more hype than reality in my experience. I am interested, can you take a better picture with more light? Just trying to see the condition.

Hydrolock/vaporlock is no joke. I did it in the MS6 with a Fujita intake. It wasnt a full hydrolock (thats when you break pistons and valves) but it was scary. Next day, the CAI was off the car. There are TONS of people running CAIs without a problem. For me, it was more of a security thing. The roads around my house are prone to flash floods because of poor drainage. If you live in an area with better drainage or less intense rains, the CAI is a great addition to a MS6.

exactly^^^^
sure, I can take more pics if you'd like.
Is there anything wrong with it as far as how it functions....no
Has it been used and abused...yes
Is it show quality....hell no but it'll get the job done, is carb legal and it's the only intake that my dealership would honor my warranty with.
Warranty is up now, Cobb ap is on and they have an off the shelf map for the Cobb Sri that makes things super easy for me. -------Mazda knows I mod now lol

Yes, you can suck up water with this cai, but just use your head and do not drive thru any rivers and you should be fine :)

AEM sells a hydrolock preventer for like $69.. its a circular sponge filter that goes later in the tube.. so you can add that if youre really worried.. but, for a $100 its a good deal.. i bought mine new at the dealer when i got my car.. well worth it if youre still stock..

The air bypass valve by AEM is not for turbocharged/supercharged applications. The way forced induction works interferes with the operation of the valve

did not know that? but, it works for N/A applications ok?? Ive never tried it.. just seen it in catalogs etc.. good to know..

You could just do what i did (and lots of other people) and hack the CAI into a short ram. I did it because I was sick of having to take the bottom cover off to get to it, and because of all the salt they use on the roads making it filthy every month or so...

and yeah, AEM says not to use it on a FI engine. AEM site

Yeah, and the majority of the marks and dings are on the lower section so if someone wanted to hack this into a short ram it would look great!

Never had any issues with CAI on my old MS6 or current MS6 and I have the MS CAI on my current MS6... 100 dollars is a great deal!

Would you be willing to take $90 shipped?

Let me know I live in Utah and can Paypal the money Monday morning.

My Paypal is 383transam@gmail.com if you want to send over the request.
