Speed3 help and questions.

put a deposit down on an 07 speed3,

before i take delivery i want to know what kind issues, or problems are prominent on the speed3's.

any help will be appreciated as i did have a chub while taking it out on a test drive.

THAT would have been a smarter move... as it stands, just read many of the threads here to see what might potentially go wrong.

Note I said "published" because at least one bulletin mazda doesn't want public is a doozy.

Don't forget 'excessive drooling' and 'clothes flying off'.

On an '07 MS3 the VVT actuator and a smoking turbo are the main issues. The EGR valve will likely need cleaning or replacement sometime after 50,000 miles. The struts/shocks are weak and can go south from 30,000 miles on- if not sooner.

Picked up my 07 month and half ago.
60,000 on the clock with no issues at all.
Brace yourself and enjoy.

I would recommend you try and find a later 08 model that has been properly sorted, 07 were prone to issues from all that I've read.
