Hi all.
I have a 1.6l w. an automatic transmission.
It has intermittent shifting problems like dropping out of O/D at freeway speeds and shifting hard in/out of gear during a full stop and just having issues shifting in general.
A mechanic friend of mine believes that it is the speed sensor, and with the transmission having been serviced less than 1k ago and the shop saying that it was in great shape Im inclined to agree with him.
The tires ARE the correct size, so I know thats not the problem.
So what do you people think? Is it the speed sensor or something else?
Also, does anyone know if there is a Ford number for the same part? I can get if from Napa for about 90 shipped, but Ford parts are usually cheaper.
