Can anyone tell me the difference between the speed headlight and a standard 6 headlight? Will a standard 6 headlight fit a speed?

It depends. If the normal 6 has HID...then they use the same bulb, which is the D2S. If not...the normal 6 uses the H1 (same as the high beams on the Speed6)

i know the projector in the main headlight is different between the two also. the reg 6 is kinda a cloudy white, where as the mazdaspeed6 one is much more clear.

The headlights are exactly the same. It's just that one has an hid projector(d2s bulb) and the other has a regular halogen projector(h1 bulb). As far as them being changed with one another, you can do it.

I know with mine, the Speed6 and Regular 6 housing are the same, with the exception of the Fog lights.. In my Speed6, my fogs are in my bumper and I have a blank "chrome" plastic cover where the fog lights would go on the regular 6.

only the 03-05 Grand touring had the fog's there. ALL other's had the same chrome filler you had. even the reg 6's.

and like i said ealier. the projector itself is different between the speeds, and the reg 6's. i actually swapped a speed6 projector into my 6 last year. not a massive upgrade. but they are a definite improvement.

So if i was to buy a set of reg6 headlights with hids (d2s) bulbs they will be a direct fit replacement wires and everything just plug and play IDE like to try so I can have an extra set of fogs and then have three sets of hids if it's possible (headlight, fogs in the bumper, and fogs in the headlights) please let me know guys thanks
