Sparkplug Recommendations for Semi-Stock Setup

Hey all,

The MSP is due for a spark plug change and I'm having some difficulty deciding what spark plugs I should go with. My ambitions are as follows:

-My car is basically stock apart from some springs and I plan on keeping it that way more or less into the future apart from an axle-back exhaust system.
-I've heard something about switching to colder plugs (I can't remember if it has some effect on timing?), but as to why I would do this in my boat, i'm not too sure.

Would it be better for me to just stay with the OEM recommended spark plugs from Mazda or would something aftermarket be better? I'd also appreciate it if you could explain the rationale behind your recommendation as I don't want to be naive. Thanks.

go with oem NGK plugs...and no offense but why would you only change the axle-back exhaust?...its probably the only part of the exhaust that doesnt need to be changed and if you change it there wont be any difference in performance (msp axle back is much nicer than a fart can...do not replace with fart can....).
