Thanks
Thanks
where can i get NGK spark plug one step colder
If you are modded to the extent you need colder plugs, the NGK number is in my sig. I got mine at O'Reily's Auto Parts for $6.99 each. Also available same price at Advance Auto Parts. Both places can get them for you over night if not in stock.
They (NGK's) will need to be regapped. Use a wire gauge and take your time. Do not go step colder if you are not running higher than stock boost, or a downpipe or an aftermarket tune like AP. You'll just foul them out. You need to be up on boost or up on power by 40 whp over stock, or you're taking a step backward with colder plugs. You want to run as hot as possible with as large a gap as possible without encountering knock.
Changing these plugs would be a bit different than a lot of cars. The TMIC has to come off, but that isn't too bad, from what I've read. If you've not looked at the plugs, though, how do you know they're going bad?
Another reason it better to have a full iridium spark plugs is better then stock.
Denso ITV22's. Come pregapped and are 1 step colder.
From SU.com they are pregapped to .032.
Iridium spark plugs are better than iridium spark plugs?![]()
