No reason to change new plugs. Would be no advantage to do so. JMO.

Early Plug Change

I'd be curious to know what advantage you had in mind in replacing your plugs early. I began riding motorcycles back in the 1960's and we were always experimenting with plugs, but not so much after water cooled engines became common. Engineers could suggest a plug based on intended performance, and they knew the environment to which the plug would be subjected, so it kind of took all of us "backyard engineers" out of the equation.

That said, it does not especially mean you are wrong in wanting to change the heat range of the plug if you have absolute data that shows you need to cool, or slightly heat the combustion chamber, if for a specific reason. Other than that, the two best brands of plugs in the world come from Japan (IMHO) - where the CX is made, and as mentioned we'd all probably like to hear the rationale. Maybe we all need to change, share your ideas. Chuck
