Well i Just go my New Sparcko Wires installed...They look really nice...but i have some questions maybe you guys might know!!

1. When i removed the old ones...i saw some specs of silver on the plugs...also they were very dirty(black soot)...is this normal??

2. After i installed i watched my revs jump to 2k..and then slows come down to 1.5k...and it bounced up and down a little...is that normal??

3. My important question...is whie the engine was running...i put my finger on plug 3..and it was jumping up and down w/ the engine...when i put my finger over plug 1...there was no bouncing..or anything

:wtf:

disconnect your battery for a few and test it again. silicone dielectric grease will help too :D

Which question is that the answer to??

sounds like the boot isn't seated correctly. and the grease is so you will not get the black build up...

I heard it's a good idea to disconnect the battery to reset the ecu after changing the wires. I did that and didn't see any jumps in rpms...

I made sure that it was fully on...i pushed it down!

I am at work..I have no tools..so...i guess i will have to wait till i get home to reset ecu...

you may have had the plug issue because of the firing order. depending on the firing order, this may be no big deal.

Could be that the spark plug itself for piston three is loose. Give it a little bit of a tightening. 19 ft/lbs, I beleive, if you have a torque wrench. The flux in rev speed is pretty common right off the bat, but yeah, reset the ECU for sure.

Thanks..When I get home...I be sure to reset ecu..and tighten..the spark plug!!

I think I'm not getting these wires, cuz too many people saying they are breaking...Later,

same here, i was about to buy em too. i guess ill just break bread and spend more money on the magnecor wires...grrr

i mean for the performance gains this is just too much to pay for wires, but screw it i guess....magnecor here i come!

damn that sucks i just got mine yesterday and put them on and now i realize that i have to take them off to put in my turbo spark plugs. I fo sho hope they dont break.

Also mine had no packaging whatsoever. It was just two wires in a fedex box. How was everyone elses packaged?

Hi guys,

I am very concerned with your complaints, and I have responded to everyone who has emailed me with instructions on how to proceed. I will be discussing with the designer about what could have caused this problem and how to improve the product. I will try to post any info I get or ask him to respond directly.

Thanks for your understanding, and please email me with any problems. We will do all we can to make things right.

Thanks

Well here is how i Recieved It!!

and here's there reply to my email!

Hi

I have talked to the manager about the problem, and we will replace them free
of charge after they are inspected. I just need you to send me back the old
ones, and I will replace them for you. Please send them regular mail and
declare a value of "5$". If you put more than this value
Canada customs will try to collect duty fees because they assume we are buying
it from you which is not the case. So send it to us, and please email me when
you have done so.

This is pretty S.O.P. for most products I would think.

when i received mine it was loose, no packing, in a box. Although I have not had any trouble yet, I know the day I want to change plugs or clean the valve cover I'll be SOL!

I'm saving my pennies for magnecors...

I talked to the wire designer and had him review the complaints and pictures. Here is a quote from the email I received in response.

"The whole issue here is very simple. No one realizes that they HAVE to put some" silicone based dielectric grease " on the contact point of the plug itself before you insert the tube into the spark plug. They should install their wires by an experienced mechanic. What happen is, they are too tight between
the rubber seal and the spark plug itself. Therefore, when you pull the wire out, you are pulling the actual wire itself out. The metal clamp will then come off from the wire."

I realize that most people don't want to spend money and go to a mechanic to install the wires and they would rather do it themselves. Obviously a person who is not a mechanic may not realize that some grease is needed. I am going to try to have self-install instructions included with each set of wire.

Hope this clarifies the issue a bit
