I think hail counts as an "act of god" and will be covered by your insurance company without raising your rates.
I am sorry to hear and see what happened to your car. I can't imagine what would happen to anyone unlucky enough to get caught in that with no shelter.
Oh, it will be. I called them and they were like "well your deductible is $1250 so go get an estimate on how much it would cost first... It might not be that much." I was like, lady look... I want my car back to factory spec without a single dent left, it's going to cost A LOT more then that. She just shook her head and was like, well call me when you get three estimates. I'm going to one shop right now, Mazda said they can't handle this type of damage.
Damnnnnn well that stinks. Maybe after this is all cleared up and you can afford it, you should look into a lower deductible..
Didn't even know my deductible was that high, I'm under my grandparents insurance plan. Apparently, he is a cheap ass.
I had a 97 Probe GT for six months and made four notes when a hail storm destroyed it. It came to $9,300 to repair and since it was new the insurance compay fixed it. Every panel had to be replaced along with the lights, tails front and rear glass and water damage. Your car doesn't look near as bad as mine did.
Don't settle for anything less than full replacement panels.
