someone..ANYONE! please help me!

lol my fault i figured the diamonds are called canary so..and does that happen if you disconnect the battery any kind of way?But im getting a new battery tomorrow well see what happens!..Got my fingers crossed. I hate to say it but if that doesnt work where should i go from there ignition switch? Im also going to get new connectors/cables.so maana it is!

Yea shane it just cranks freely,and i didnt see any rust at all even on plate that covers it and checking the alarm is a great idea im gonna look into that now thanks!

this could just be a simple issue, i had the same thing with my p5 when i got it. i ended up buying a new battery i didnt need... your p5 could just be stuck between reverse and park( if its automatic), if it is automatic, drop it in neutral rip the ebrake and it should start like a champ. also if its automatic watch to make sure when u put it in park that you see the lighted box around the "P"
 
yea its an auto i kind of forgot to mention that...i really dont want to have to replace the ecu :(
 
i'd bet anything it's not an ecu issue...i don't recall any ecu issues in the 9 yrs on this site!
 
yea like i said before this mechanic swears its that beacause it jus fires random codes at him and says cannot connect to something or other
 
do you have a gun? if so talk to the mechanic while holding the gun and see if he can fix it, can you find out what CEL (check engine light) codes throws it?
 
why havent his mechanic tried to jump start the car?? you do have good fuel in the car right? lol

First of if it was in between it wouldnt be clicking as he states...it wouldnt try to turn over.



+ How about your try the basics...new battery/jump start. if that doesnt work then we will go from there, as for the ecu i dont think you can fry ur ecu just like that..i just rather you not spend more money on an ECU u dont need.
As For the Battery its always good to have a new battery anyway.
 
ya, but if it was an alarm the mech wouldn't have got cel codes....we're really chasing this all over the place...we need to start from the begining with the first problem, what cides were pulled, parts replaced, why he thinks it's the ecu...is the battery, maybe it's the alarm..chronological history pls?
 
Ahhh, when it is stuck between reverse and park it clicks once when you turn the key, so if it continues to click its probably not stuck, its something else. but if when you turn the key and it just clicks, its most likely stuck between reverse and park... and if thats the case you gotta watch when you put it in park.


ALSO, I have had a battery issue and when the battery is dead it also does not click, it just whines abit then stops.
 
lol yea shane the plate that covers it is a little rusted on the corner..i had already had the ecu taken out ready to replace but a gut feeling told me not to..anyways when i tried to start it and it would jus keep turnin the ecu wasnt put back properly..just a quick plug n play lol he doesnt realize that you need to screw it in two fully connect it but i did it then i tried to turn it on with a friends used battery and it turns on when i give it a bit of gas and it idles below 1000..feels like its sputtering and when im driving it feel week as hell my im on my way to get MY new battery now im hoping its just that what do you think?im also gettin new coil packs and spark plugs\cables just cuz..i just wanna thank all you guys for going out of your way to help me out and treating a noob like hes part of the team lol i will deff keep tuning in all the time and will probably start a build thread (after i paint it lol)
 
so what kind of ignorant mechanic did you get? did he pay you back? how can your mechanic not know the difference between an alternator/starter failure and a low battery? i hope you never go back there.
