Hello all,

Just wanted to say hello. I got my 2007 MS6 in August. Unfortuanly the process has been a nightmare. I love the car it really is a blast to drive when it is in the mood to be driven.

I just want to make a reccomendation to all the people from the Northeast, DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM MARTY SUSSMAN in Willoe grove PA. I still do not have a plate for my car and I am on my third cardboard tag! They had my car for 3 weeks while they fixed some small blemishes that it had before I bought it. and in the 1000 miles that I have owned it I have had one reacall and 2 MEL lights. One was for air in fuel (Gas Cap) second was some purge valve thingy. Seems that most of you have gone through similar things. Part is on order and should be in within a week or so.

Here in Philly I can get 93 octane from Sonoco thats what I have been putting im my car ever tank so far. The car seems mighty moody some times and doesn't want to play fast car. While other times with the same gas wants to run like a ***** Ape! anyone else dealing with that? A few other things that I noticed, Me being pickey I guess. There is a howling type noise, not very loud, while I am driving. The clutch took some getting used to don't know if its me or the car but something is breaking in. The thing that is killing me the most is the cover on the seering wheel where the volume control is doens't seem to fit right. there is a bigger gap between that and the one on the other side. just as a side not what are you guys getting per tank in miles out of this thing. I am getting about 240 as the low fuel light comes on.

Thats it for me being negative. Overall I do love the car. It fit me and my family well. My kids giggle everytime i get on it. This is my first turbo car no complaints of a serious tone other than the dealer. No Mods yet have to get the boss to aprove any buys but I think the CAI and the boost gauge. just looking for a better place to put it.

welcome to the board :)

more than likely, the 2 MILs are for the same issue. a lot of dealers tried passing off the purge valve as a faulty gas cap. then when the issue came right back they need to order the valve. and, there have been a couple recals, but nothing major, so don't worry about that.

could be the issue described above

ever driven a turbo car? that sounds like normal turbo whine to me.

sounds about right.

glad you like it :)

I don't think that its turbo whine as it it related to vehicle speed and not engine RPM. Being the whine doen't change pitch or fequency when I cange to a higer gear. I have driven a turbo car before never have owned one. My roomate when I lived in New Orleans has a Pontiac sunbird with a turbo.

welcome aboard..I hope the problems smooth out for ya!

For the most part they have. Once the valve comes in and after I get my first oil chnge I am going to take my car to Red Tollman for service after that. I Don't know if I implied this or not I am not unhappy with my car just Marty Sussman Mazda. I love the car. I think I just need to find a better gas station!

The clutch is a b****. I have an 07, so I have the "fixed" clutch. I have driven everything from an 84 tempo to an 07 Z06 and never even given a second thought about a cars clutch. That is until I bought the MS6. I've actually used the ebrake on a hillstart because some jackass was riding my ass. Thats something I used to laugh at people for doing. Anyway, it gets better and you'll have a hang of it in no time. At the 5 thousand km mark (3k miles) I have no issues anymore and am used to the high release point and "on/off switch" feel. I can't imagine what it would've been like to drive the pre TSB car.

Have fun with it man, I know I am ;)
