just got the last engine mount in today. i still get a click when i throw it into 3rd though, its not a grind so i dont think its th synchros. but at higher rpm its louder then low, but if i go from 2nd to 3rd slow theres no click at all. and also i get a rattling on my front driver side, sounds like control arm bushings are shot but i checked and they seemed fine, didnt move at all. unless i was checking the wrong thing, not too familiar with this type of suspension my honda had different i believe. (no i didnt have vtec power, plus its gone)

It's hard to diagnose problems with someone describing sounds. I'd go to a good shop and let them check it out. If someone else on here lives in you area and is knowledgeable, maybe they could meet up with you.

You will probably have to open the tranny and inspect forks and synchros... (sorry.)

update: so my car now grinds when at high speed and going from 2nd gear to 3rd gear if i do it fast,(pretty much any speed that requires me to be over 3k rpm in 2nd gear) if i take it slow (or normal) it doesnt grind and its perfectly find, does this really sound like he syncros? or could it just be some bushings? i read online thats what it could be, some kind of bushings.
and also if it is the syncros is that something worth doing at home or should i just take it to a tranny shop? and how much does it typically cost?

I pretty much have the exact same problem, I'm pretty sure it's the synchros. Usually I just rev 2nd a little higher than the other gears and skip 3rd and go straight to 4th. And I'm probably gunna keep doing that till I get my tranny looked at.

I dunno what's up with the 3rd gear on this car, cause this isn't the first time that I've seen a thread about this

Sounds like it could be your sliders? You put it into gear smoothly with no sound versus shifting a little bit quicker into gear and a click. Sounds like a possible slider problem. Check the alignment of the forks as well. Good luck.
