I just finished dealing with some issues I was having regarding the Dongar Pro adapter for my 2022 Mazda CX-9, powering a Redtiger F17 Elite 3-channel dashcam.
Long story short, after some troubleshooting with Dongar's Live Chat, the current version of the Dongar Pro adapter isn't designed to work with some dashcam brands, one of which is Redtiger. Tested and confirmed brands that do work are Garmin, Nextbase, and Vantrue. With my Redtiger F17 Elite camera hooked up, the Parking Mode is unavailable, so the dashcam just continually records as if the car is running, until the car battery runs low enough to trigger the adapter's voltage protection. We came to the conclusion that the Dongar Pro would not work for me, and that I would instead need to hardwire the dashcam.
I wanted to write this review just to get the info out there, but also to highlight Dongar's excellent customer service. After troubleshooting with Dongar, a manager (Bill) entered the chat to further explain what was happening and advise that they are currently working on an updated version of the Pro adapter to accommodate more brands, but they don't have an ETA on it yet. It's unfortunate that the product didn't work for my setup, but I'm really happy with the customer service, and will definitely be keeping an eye out for the updated adapter.
